As well as clever 'Auto Recording' and 'Count in' modes you can also undo and redo on the go with the seemingly endless 3 hour loop time! The only weakness worth mentioning is that it is sometimes difficult to navigate the menu when it comes to particular effects. The 50 has only 1 such jack, and for the other two, needs to use MIDI In, which is kind of a pain to get happening.

I don't have any hope for getting help from the BOSS/Roland service department, but might be convinced otherwise if someone knows something I don't. With the 50, you have a dedicated "Last Undo" button that takes only about half a second to kick in. The RC-300 lets you record for up to three hours directly to its internal memory, adding effects as you go.

I used to post on some of the Rush messageboards back in the late '90's and '00's -- But this is my first messageboard post in ages! I would say the RC-300, Boomerang III, and those two are at the top of the heap for hardware, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. The RC-300 comes pre-loaded with a selection of backing tracks, and you can get even more free loop content using the Boss Tone Central library. This setup require more cables and takes up more mixer space, but it allows the sound engineer to mix the sound on a per track basis - too bad input routing is not as good as this. Andertons Music Company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm registration number 716155.

There's also some really useable built-in effect which I wasn't expecting to use - but I actually think I will. Upon further experimentation, I found that the 300 was glitch-free with the GT-6's Midi Delay so long as the 300's BPM was set to a whole number (IE 156. I'm not jamming on loops or anything, I just record something on each track to verify functionality and move on to check the mic input, other outputs, poke through menus and such.Issues with Undo placement aside, there is something to be said for having the Record and Stop buttons in the same place all the time.

We check and properly profile the playing surface of the frets and then make sure the fret ends are finished off properly. The best part about this for Single Mode enthusiasts is that you can hold down any of the Stop buttons to clear a track without having to be on it. I need to use my eyes to find the correct place more than I did when the Play button was always in the same place. I'm not sure I'm going to jump to spend 600 bucks on the new one any time soon, being that I play mostly pubs and no one is going to be able to tell the difference between 16bit and 32bit audio over a mono PA speaker in a small room, but I'm curious what others' opinions are. I was expecting something smaller but it's quite big and has a solid steel body - so it's a very substantial thing - which I like.If I set it to Multi Mode, then all three drum tracks will start playing along with the Track 1 Bass on the Slave. Each track is independently controllable, so finding the right settings for each individual loop is made easy.

The new flagship looper features three synchronized stereo tracks with dedicated volume knobs and transport-control footswitches for each track. I'm here in hopes that I can find help with a fix, replacement, or hack -- but ultimately I suppose some sympathy and/or laughs for another sucker of a shyster and proprietary obsolescence. Control the effects parameters in real time with the Expression pedal for hands-free creativity onstage. However, the beat-synced effects are usable, sound good, and overlap the issues I've had syncing the RC-50 to the Adrenalinn 3 for the delay effect. Coming in at the right time won't be a problem with the "Count-In" feature, giving you one bar of rhythm before recording starts. This includes familiar modulation effects like chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo along with more trippy ones like bend, slicer, pan and more. The top nut also plays a big part in the action of your guitar so we'll hit that sweet spot between too low and too high. In the interest of product improvement, the specifications and/or appearance of this unit are subject to change without prior notice. In addition to recording your instrument performances and turning them into playable loops, you can record other external stereo audio sources via the AUX IN. The main use of this is for syncing external MIDI devices, but it can also be used to control the RC-300 via an external MIDI device.
