A guaranteed original Japanese B2 movie poster from the October 1978 Japanese release of Stanley Kubrick's 1968 epic "2001: A Space Odyssey". Was a little bummed to discover that the text at the bottom was blurry, but for a poster that is made from a movie screen image, it is to be expected. The image is eventually affixed to the surface by means of a chemical reaction, and ink adheres to certain sections of the surface while non–image areas are made to repel the ink. It was chosen to be preserved in the National Film Registry by the United States Library of Congress in 1991 and continues to be hailed by critics to this day.
