About this deal

Also, this is said to be an enemies to lovers and I wish that had lasted a little longer as well as getting more moments of their past together but nonetheless still very much enjoyed the moments there is of both.

She's the best at what she does and has an easy-going personality that warms her way into her clients' hearts. He's a character who evokes genuine admiration and sympathy, deserving nothing less than the entire world. I don’t personally love reading about female characters that have no backbone or understanding of reality especially regarding the situation in the book with the groomsman.I loved that Elliot's chapter recounted the past timeline and how they met and how their relationship developed and Ama's chapter narrated the present timeline and how they are going to work together after 2 years of not seeing each other.

After 2 years pass since they broke up, the past history between them surfaces when ama is hired to plan a big wedding and Elliot happens to be the florist for it so you can only imagine how awkward it would be being forced to work together. Either from outrage or amusement, I was highly entertained (and turned on by that grumpy, flowery hunk) from the first to the very last second. Now they’re working on an event that could make or break both of their careers—except neither of them has gotten over what happened two years ago. I'm not complaining about that, but when Ama and Elliot started working together, and after Ama realized and told him that she still loved him—he felt conflicted at first and left—but the next day, they got back together for a new beginning! But as they start spending more time together again, will they realise that they still love each other and give in to those old feelings once more?

She’s a wedding planner who doesn’t know her own mind and he’s a grumpy dick who gets corny tattoos.

Their relationship initially began with hook-ups, and while that's completely acceptable, it did feel like there was a lack of chemistry or sexual tension between them in many instances. Two idiots who wouldn’t know how to communicate if they were given translators decide to start banging even though it’s a terrible idea. Thanks to the people in her life, she became too good at creating distance, always feeling like she's not good enough, pretending to be good enough and hiding it behind the mask of confidence. The drama behind the celebrity wedding in the present tense, the visuals my mind conjured when the floral meetings were described, and Elliot just being *cough* Elliot were all strong aspects of the novel. What I loved about his character was that he didn't need to act rude, sleep around or be all dark and dominant to prove his attractiveness or grumpiness. They have to work together to plan the influencer Hazel Renee's wedding and there's no way around it. This really let the reader understand the characters - their reservations, fears, hopes, and dreams.

Sometimes you just count down the days, the hours, until you can be useful again, and if it ever ends?

Also talking someone into getting married to someone that they don’t like just because you think it’s your job to get them down the isle and then justifying that they can get divorced and married again is insane. There was humor that actually made me giggle woven throughout that really added to the overall story. There is spice that I personally enjoyed, but it’s not an overwhelming amount if that’s not your thing. Ama and Elliot's story unfolds from a dual POV and dual timeline, weaving their past with the moment their paths cross again.
