Description

The BenQ Mobiuz EX2710Q has a few perks in day-to-day use. The wide color gamut, which covers most of DCI-P3, is well suited for photographers, digital artists, video editors, and other content creators. HDR support means you can watch HDR movies or create HDR content. And don’t forget the built-in speakers. They’re perfect for throwing up some ambient tunes for a relaxed vibe. Another special feature of the BenQ Mobiuz EX2710R is its unique treVolo speaker layout that’s composed of 2-watt drivers and a dedicated 5-watt woofer. It sounds considerably better and clearer since it has decent levels of bass. Headsets will be better for immersion, but we’re glad to have a set that’s usable for movies or casual gaming in case it’s too hot to wear cans over your head. Display and Performance Another minor potential gripe was that we constantly switched between preset colour and performance modes to suit what we were watching – there wasn’t a one-size-fits-all mode, but you can make good use of custom settings to help alleviate this. Being a true HDR 4000 display, it’s 400 nits of brightness, it’s remarkable that the viewing angles really help with the curved display. This isn’t just a gaming monitor, it works with media consumption, this is a perfect duo I look for in a display of this class and this monitor to me makes for a compelling buy. Verdict

The rear is a stylish silver with some geometric detailing. It also has four LED strips which can be set to nine different colours and pulse in a variety of patterns. This is a 27-inch VA display, so contrast ratios are better than IPS, however as we all know the trade-off is limited viewing angles and response time. Well, BenQ have done something special with the engineering in this display and it’s a fast 1ms MPRT /165Hz panel. It comes with AMD’s Freesync Premium Pro and 3000:1 HDR400. Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount Calibrating the BenQ Mobiuz EX2710R reduced its dE average to 0.91 which is excellent for a VA-based gaming display. Note that you need a colorimeter to achieve this level of improvement, and those gadgets aren’t cheap. Spending the extra won’t be necessary unless you are into color-critical work.

While the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210R’s curved screen will inherently reduce the eye-fatigue caused by your eyeballs constantly refocusing when scanning across the display, there’s also blue light adjustment to further improve matters. Plus, there’s an impressive anti-glare coating on the matte screen, which does what it’s supposed to in addition to banishing reflections.

This is a HDRi monitor so naturally BenQ’s engineering means you get decent HDR and it’s quite easy to enable it, there’s even a button in the front to activate it. Other than that, it’s 165hz and AMD Freesync. There’s a variety of customization levels in the way you can boost shadows which works in competitive gaming but also if you really want a rich variety of cinematic colours for open world games. The stand’s legs are a bit wide for a 27-inch monitor and take up significant room on your desk. Standard VESA 100 x 100 millimeter mounting is used, so you can swap the included stand for a third-party monitor arm, or wall mount. BenQ Mobiuz EX2710Q – Features and MenuInformation about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. It’s worth noting that the BenQ EX2780Q, which I reviewed in August of 2021, beats the BenQ Mobiuz EX2710Q in several areas. It had much better color accuracy, a higher contrast ratio, and superior SDR brightness in my testing. This comes at the cost of inferior HDR performance and a lower refresh rate. The EX2710Q is better in fast, competitive games, but the EX2780Q will look better overall (and it’s less expensive). Purchasing Guide The BenQ Mobiuz EX2710Q goes above and beyond in its design and feature set, but the same can’t be said for its image quality. It looks fine but doesn’t stand out from other high-end 1440p gaming monitors. The BenQ Mobiuz EX2710R is a well-designed gaming monitor with enjoyable features and an attractive aesthetic. The screen’s default performance is superb so most users can enjoy their new gaming display right away. Its also incredibly well-built so it feels like you got your money’s worth once you unbox it. Often even a higher peak luminance can be achieved under certain conditions. For example, when a smaller area/APL of the display is used for showing a bright object, when a bright object is displayed for a short time, etc.

The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. The headline specs paint a good picture of the features on offer and include the 165Hz refresh rate, a 1000R-rated curve, the 2.1 speakers and a two-port, USB-A 3.0 hub which can act as a KVM switch. The latter allows you to swap a single USB-A cable between computers and use the same keyboard and mouse – ideal when bringing a work laptop home. Information of the number of pixels in a unit of length. With the decrease of the display size and the increase of its resolution, the pixel density increases.

The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210R’s UHD resolution adds good detail, while the 165Hz refresh rate keeps everything buttery smooth. The 1ms MPRT helps reduce ghosting but it’s not totally absent. The panel also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro which can prevent image tearing and boost performance in compatible games. DCI P3 is a color space, introduced in 2007 by the SMPTE. It is used in digital cinema and has a much wider gamut than the sRGB. Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches.

And I have to say, if you’re looking for a 2K monitor, this may be one of the best in the class. Design

The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC.
