Mort meets King Julien and Maurice for the first time when he falls out of a tree in “King Me”. Mort is depicted as an important character in All Hail King Julien, and is one of the four members of King Julien's royal circle, along with Maurice and Clover. It is in All Hail King Julien that his love towards King Julien's feet began. Mort is somewhat creepy at times, but also humorous. He claims to live in his own world, and can turn into many versions of himself inside his mind. King Julien and Mort, just before Mort swallowed King Julien in whole. In All Hail King Julien, he is excellent in bringing up fabulous songs, on a specific topic. For example, such songs are; There Will Be Juice(December 1, 2017) - When a crate of “PURE ORGANIC IMPOSSIBLY SAFE ORGANIC NUTRIENTS” washes onto the shore, King Julien accidentally overfeeds the crops, creating a giant mango that tries to take over the world. Despite his entourage’s objections he proceeds with the plan. The plan works at first but then takes a disastrous turn. At first, Julien expects Maurice and Clover or another person to fix his mess. This doesn’t work and so Julien is forced to reconcile with his own guilt and attempts, sometimes pathetically, to rectify things. He then claims he learned a valuable lesson. Maurice sighs exhaustedly. He does actually learn a few lessons in Exiled and reveals his gratitude to his companions on a few occasions. The Most Eggcellent Adventure (May 12, 2017) - King Julien and Maurice arrive on an island full of lady lemurs; Sage and Clover attempt to train a hawk; Mort gains intel on Koto.

In The Wrath of Morticus Khan, KJ shows romance towards the female King Julien who comes from the dimensional doorway which Timo built. Julien tries to kiss her on the lip for a several times but fails as Maurice does not let him do so. In " King Me," in spite of his usual selfishness, he went to save his people and fought the fossa, even though he knew he could be devoured in seconds. When he was looking for a weapon to defeat the fossa, he stumbled upon a boombox. When it played a song, he couldn't help but dance to the music. He felt in his heart that music, or his dancing, would be his ultimate weapon. He risks his own life to save his people, even when Masikura warns him he will be eaten. He bravely fights off the foosa at their territory with the assistance of the boombox. Since then, the kingdom was finally free of the oppressive rules Uncle King Julien enforced, and at the end of the episode, Julien gives a speech showing his inner loving and kind nature towards his people. Horst: Horst is a loner, fears change, and is often seen holding a beverage. He is one of the serious lemurs in the kingdom, but inside with his friends, he can be playful too. He is married to Mary Ann, the queen of the fossas. Although Mort is both disliked and pushed around by King Julien, he does not seem to be bothered by it. However, he did turn on Julien in Mort Unbound when Kowalski's giant ray granted him super strength and size. He was shrunken down again with an antidote. Mary Ann: A female fossa who was caught in one of Clover's traps. She was an average savage fossa before King Julien captured her and "lemurised" her. She later became the fossa's leader and is also Horst's wife. Iron Ted Weekend (May 12, 2017) - King Julien and his team discover they are trapped by Crimson and must team up to defeat a beast; Mort tries to rally up his fellow lemurs, but they are losing hope. Mort is the first person to use King Julien's Love Potion No. 09. King Julien persuaded him to take it by saying that he is not popular, which he agrees with. After been sprayed, Maurice comes as a lady to show that he is irrisistable and King Julien even makes Maurice kiss him. At the end, he smiles when all the fur of King Julien gets lost since he had a bath his own 'love' potion. Mort: King Julien's self-proclaimed best friend, Mort is the oldest lemur in the kingdom, despite his childish appearance. He is a big fan of King Julien and is in love with the king's feet, after his feet saved Mort's life in King Me. According to Mort, he spends most of his time in his own world and barely notices his surroundings. He is also known for being creepy, and he always talks to the multiple versions of himself inside his mind. The primary example of this is Smart Mort, an extremely intelligent version of Mort who lives in Mort’s head. He reveals himself when Mort drinks coffee. It is also revealed that Mort can absorb different versions of him. He also absorbed his own grandma.Crimson: Clover's twin sister who wanted to marry King Julien, although he didn't like having to be with her forever and broke up with her on their wedding day. She later teamed up with Uncle King Julien to kill King Julien. According to her, she was treated better than Clover by their parents. Maurice: Formerly Prince Julien's caretaker, Maurice is the royal advisor of King Julien, and does most of the king's duties and is one of the most responsible lemurs in the kingdom. According to Masikura, he and Julien met when they were babies during Prince Barty and Princess Julienne's camp near the Aye-Aye Kingdom. Maurice usually takes charge of serious situations or is forced to by King Julien and Clover, and despite his serious appearance, he is known to be soft inside and very emotional, as almost all of the kingdom teases him about it. It is revealed in AHKJ Exiled that Maurice is 'The Chosen One' In the first Madagascar game, however, he seemed to be intelligent like King Julien. He creates a romantic relationship with Zora in the All Hail King Julien: Exiled and marries her in The Day Before Tomorrow. However, in King Julien is Watching You, Zora leaves Mort and decides to live with Uncle King Julien. But Mort doesn't really seem to mind that. ( Probably because Zora annoyed Mort by mentioning 'family' and flattering him.) Pineapple Of My Eye (October 16, 2015) - When Julien is fooled into believing that a "divine pineapple" contains the wisdom of former kings, a jealous Mort tries to get rid of it. Hector: Hector is an incredibly moody lemur who hates everything. He is the second oldest lemur in the kingdom after Mort and was the "Prime Minister of Mangoes". It was later revealed that his mother, Helen was living with humans since Hector was really young.
