Description

The panel fronts as removed are difficult to asses as corrosion streaks and marks are left as during the test the unprotected panel edges allow corrosion deposits to pour down the vertically positioned panels. Dynax-S50 is a high-performance anti-corrosion wax that provides exceptionally long-lasting protection to steel surfaces. It creeps into welded seams and seals surface defects. Dynax-S50 forms a soft, brown, wax-like film that self-heals in the event of disruption. It is also able to arrest existing corrosion and to provide long-term protection to pre-corroded and corrosion-free surfaces. I popped the treadplates off the front to see if there was any way to spray Dynax S50 into the sills, but no joy. Under the rear plates there was a hole that the S50 long wand would fit in, and so I sprayed some in there as best as I could. Dynax-UB is able to arrest existing corrosion and to provide long-term protection to pre-corroded and corrosion-free surfaces.

It's near enough touch dry now underbody, and i've actually polished it too, so she's looking her best in fetching dark green and feeling cared for now, funny how motors that get regular TLC seem to wag their tails and run all the better for it...that's been my experience with lorries too over nearly 40 years, care and mechanical sympathy pays. Use a brush, or roller to apply dynax UB. dynax-UB should be applied to dry surface free of loose, flaky rust or coatings. Although the highly polar corrosion inhibitors will arrest existing corrosion. For non-aerosol dispensed Dynax-S50, warming the container (loosen cap first) by standing in a hot water bath will further reduce viscosity and is beneficial where deep crevice protection is required. Never heat aerosol dispensed product. Ensure that cavities are left unclosed for a period of 48 hours to allow the escape of carrier materials before bunging or stopping.Dynax-S50’s soft-film is optimised for enclosed cavities where extremely corrosive conditions develop. Dynax-S50 is also recommended for protection of valuable machinery and components in transit, machine tools, moulds etc. Dynax-S50 can be removed using suitable solvent. Dynax-S50 is not formulated for prolonged exposure to ultra-violet (UV) light. https://cdn.opieoils.co.uk/images/variants/medium/bilthamber/bilt-hamber-dynax-ub-non-aerosol-5-litres-7.jpg Dynax-S50 is tolerant of a broad range of application pressures and will form a coherent film upon application. Dynax-S50 will increase in viscosity at low storage temperatures. By sound basically, yes testing the spray from the probe proves a good spray pattern, you can hear where the spray is inside the chassis and sills, and see the mist and sometimes a squirt appear out of any holes as it passes by, i gave a couple of passes each time with the probe at a different angle to be sure...obviously warmer weather helps.

Bilt Hamber - Dynax-UB Underbody Anti-Corrosion Wax Reviews

Thanks Expat, concur with your outlook, all three of our cars are the oldest hereabouts apart from a lovely Toyota Starlet just round the corner...which i'll buy should i find the lady wants to sell. https://cdn.opieoils.co.uk/images/variants/medium/bilthamber/bilt-hamber-dynax-ub-non-aerosol-1-litre-2.jpg

My question is, how much of it do I need? I'm not sure where all I'll be using it but definetely will be on the cills (which required welding), chassis legs, front cross member and probably the subframes as well. Possibly end up using it in all the various other cavities through out the rest of the shell also. and did you apply anything else before/after?Yes that's the one, except it's now been largely superseded by Rust Encapsulator. The advanced metal seeking anti-corrosion molecules which form Dynax-S50 are able to displace water, so even damp surfaces can be protected, these same molecules arrest and prevent corrosion even on already rusty surfaces and provide remarkable self-healing abilities if the film is damaged. Whilst Dynax-S50 is primarily a cavity rustproofing compound it’s also able to prevent corrosion in a multitude of mud traps and water collecting voids. Dynax-S50 has been used with superb results to protect voids and cavities in steel boats, vessels, offshore installations and other steel structures subject to severely corrosive atmospheres. On a really hot day when i've got nothing to do i might just shove another couple of cans of cavity wax through the chassis, just in case.Dynax-S50 is a very high performance anti-corrosion wax that provides exeptionally long-lasting protection to steel surfaces. I took off the wheels, one at a time, to do the wheel arches. I removed the arch liner on the nearside rear, which had a bit of mud behind it but no rust, so I cleaned off the mud and gave everything a good spray of Dynax UB. The offside rear had a little surface rust around the liner bolts, and the outer sill edge, which I treated with rust converter/stabiliser, before spraying everything with Dynax UB. https://cdn.opieoils.co.uk/images/variants/icon/bilthamber/bilt-hamber-dynax-ub-non-aerosol-5-litres-2.jpg
