About this deal

Made using the finest Cuban rum and natural spices including the Cuban pepper aji dulce, coffee and cocoa. Crafted with a dry Cuban rum of unparalleled quality and infused with spices native to the island - coffee, cacao, and aji dulce. And online, as well, they're banging on about this being amazing as a rum and tonic, so we shall see a bit later. The bittersweet taste is what sets apart Black Tears from all other spiced rums, as well as its low sugar content, which is typical for Cuban rum. On the nose, Black Tears entices with a captivating aroma of baking spices, prominently featuring cinnamon and nutmeg, accompanied by earthy notes reminiscent of freshly brewed coffee beans.

My rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them. It's hard to, the vanilla actually is really, really subtle in the background, not overly up in your face at all. New Grove Honey Liqueur has been blended with New Grove Plantation traditional rum and is composed entirely of sugar cane spirits infused with the natural essence of honey from the island of Rodrigues.Again, there's something with pineapple and coffee, subtle coffee notes, that just go quite well together. Agwa’s key ingredients are Bolivian coca leaves, Brazilian guarana and Chinese ginseng which work together to offer a herbal, minty scent followed by a thick, syrupy mouthfeel awash with spicy notes, sweet menthol and the depth of the herbaceous ingredients.

A balanced nose introduces floral flavours, fresh fruit, spice and also oak leading into a full-bodied punchy flavour on the palate. Black Tears is crafted from a base of dry silver rum that is aged in cask and infused with coffee beans, cacao and aji dulce peppers. This is a sensational Cuban spiced rum that is wonderfully unique, not only because of the local produce used to create its incredible depth of flavour and intensity but it is dry. This unique spiced rum is infused with the enticing flavours of coffee, cacao, and aji dulce, delivering an authentic taste of Cuban cuisine. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without the prior consent of Waitrose Limited nor without due acknowledgement. The idea was to combine local influence and networks in Cuba with deep international drinks industry experience to bring to global markets unique new and existing Cuban rum Brands. There are round notes of coffee and cacao as well as the traditional spices found it spiced rum (nutmeg, ginger etc) great for cocktails, mixers and even sipping. It has a gentle and mysterious sweetness of cocoa accompanying the punch of coffee on the finish, along with the lingering, peppery trace of spice. Black Tears: It must have been the pirate ship that escaped with Sir Francis Drake's rum and chocolate ration.

This is a 40% spiced rum, and it's actually quite expensive for the spiced rums that I've been doing. Certainly not shy to aromas, it promises scents of spices, citrus peel, grapefruit and subliminal honey bread.

If they really sort of look at that, that is actually a proper, out and out, a lovely rum that has just been delicately spiced, and very little sugar been added.

It's also got some mizunara (Japanese oak) matured whisky in the mix, which comes through as a complex spicy and almost incense-like note. These cookies are needed for essential functions such as signing in, storing products in your trolley and making payments.

It is the first and only dry spicy Cuban rum on the world market, one of the best distilleries on the island.
