The U-shaped design blocks the compressor noise outside, allowing ultra-quiet operation as low as 42dB.

It does need to be situated close to a window so that the exhaust pipe it comes with can be vented out of a window. All portable air conditioners must be vented out so the heat is removed from the room that is being cooled. Realistic the windows need to waist height or o open up preferable to the diagram illustrated in the instructions it wasn't the same for me as my Windows are high and small , and the window couldn't grip the extraction pipe to dump all the warm air out of the room. It can also be used as a fan as well as a de-humidifier but I’ve not used either of those functions yet. In our tests, all units, no matter their BTU, were measured to produce about 60 dB of noise at 2 ft.This air cooler features an easy-fill removable water tank and includes ice packs for enhanced cooling performance. The digital control panel allows for quick and easy operation of the following functions - fan speed, timer and temperature settings. Today, 8,000 BTU units are still rated as 8,000 BTU units but a new rating has been added that does take into account the two inefficiencies we mentioned above.

As it's clearly advertised about the window attachment I can't mark it down too much but would be nice if they looked into improving this. This exhausting (removal) of air creates a pressure difference between the room the AC is actively cooling and the outdoors. It is incredibly loud though - very loud - to the point it’s as loud as my lawn mower, so definitely not sleep worthy.Convenient WIFI Connection: With the smart life app, you can turn on and set all the settings of this air conditioner before getting back home, including the speed, timer, mode, temperature, etc.
