As I said, Axel and Rooney are a perfect match. While reading, you can say that, even though they liked each other for a long while, they didn’t expect it—them—ever to happen (and what led them to find out it wasn’t exactly the most romantic context ever, but who cares?). Throughout the story—following all the “thinking of the other” moments, the cute and domestic scenes, the beautiful conversations and secrets shared—you can feel everything the protagonists are feeling. You can deeply and easily feel their angst, their happiness, their sadness, their fear and, overall, you can feel the love they have for each other. As usual, Chloe found a very beautiful and great way of giving a beautiful story that is about much more than just a relationship.

Axel oh Axel you sweet, gentle giant! This guy who doesn't think he's good enough for his family or for a relationship, just showed his love in unconventional ways, through food and fixing things. His glasses, his not dog, his gentlemanly ways.. Sigh. I loved how he learnt to recognise and express his love. I loved how Chloe Liese showed a character on the Austustic spectrum with different needs, triggers and behaviours to Frankie and Ziggy. Its such a wide spectrum, and not everyone understands that! 👏

As a female soccer player, I've battled men before. But with Ryder, it's war. And victory is going to taste so, so sweet... Willa is afraid of being alone because her mother is dying of cancer, confident about soccer, determined to not love anyone else because she doesn’t want to suffer more. She loves books, she likes to tease, to be teased, she knows what her goals are but she feels lost most of the time. You can like her or not, but she was so unique that it felt real. Cochlear implants leads to my last point, the thing that upset me most about this book: Ryder's speech. I thought it was great that (at some points) he would talk to people through notes or texts, because I do this constantly! But it made me wildly uncomfortable when he began speaking purely for the other MC's benefit. It came across like: "This deaf character needs to alter himself and begin using verbal communication or else he can't engage in a successful relationship." Damn. That was my tipping point into a one-star rating. play outside: only don't go into the street ▶USAGE In informal English, only is often used as a sentence connector: I would have phoned you, only I didn't know your number. This use should be avoided in formal writing: I would have phoned you if I'd known your number. In formal speech and writing, only is placed directly before the word or words that it modifies: she could interview only three applicants in the morning. In all but the most formal contexts, however, it is generally regarded as acceptable

She’s a thorn in my side, a menacing, cantankerous, pain-in-the-ass who’s turned our Business Mathematics course into a goddamn gladiator arena. I'll leave this war zone unscathed, coming out on top…And if I have my way with that crazy-haired, ball-busting hellion, that will be in more than one sense of the word. It seems the universe, however, has a different plan. When Axel and I unexpectedly find our paths—and problems—converging, a marriage of convenience proves the perfect solution. At least, until I’m facing my most serious problem yet: a once-loveless marriage of convenience that’s inconveniently become a love match, after all. A super cute and steamy slow burn marriage of convenience about characters learning to love themselves and each other😍 I have a soft spot for all of the characters in the Bergman Brothers series. Chloe Liese writes them so well and she manages to make them really stand out. I'm not sure how she does it though but after every book, my favorites of the series keep changing to the latest couple. It's definitely not a bad problem to have with a book series, though! No clueing in a single member of his family or Willa to their marriage seemed like a glaringly missed plot point imho & probably my biggest peeve. I was looking forward to how that piece of info slipped or was broken to them. Honestly, I think Ryder could’ve busted them all on his own, especially sometime when Willa is out of town playing soccer & kept it to himself rather easily (aside from maybe telling Willa).

With You Forever features a sweet and caring hero and a chaotic heroine, a dog, a cat and a wild family that love to meddle into everything ... Chloe Liese is my favourite romance author. I love her Bergman Brothers series. All of these brothers are absolute cinnamon rolls. And I love sweet, caring and supporting heroes. The tropes which this book uses aren't my favourites. Specially the fake marriage trope. But Chloe Liese can never do anything wrong. Of course I loved this book. We never had the chance to to know much about Alexis until we finally got his story. The oldest Bergman brother always seemed so mysterious and distant. I was so glad to get to know him finally. Axel is just a precious grump. I loved Rene too. The romance was swoony and very well written. Overall it was a wonderful read. One of my favorite things about this book was how soft Axel was for Rooney. When they started to truly know each other you just saw a different side of both of them and it was beautiful. And I also have to shout out that Chloe does an amazing job with being inclusive in her writing. One of my closest friends has the same chronic illness as Rooney and I’ve heard some of the same stories/struggles from her. What else would I do, Ryder? I love you for who you are. Of course, I accept who you are. Just like you've accepted me"

Willa and Ryder's relationship was so sweet and so pure. It was developed really well and felt super natural. From hating one another to being self proclaimed ‘frenemies’ to falling in love with each other I was obsessed. En esta estapa de mi vida lectora estoy amando el trope de matrimonios por conveniencia y por eso éste libro era el que más ganas tenía de leer, además el protagonista está en el espectro autista y ella tiene un crush con él. Rooney Sullivan, smiler, law student and all round sunshine has a crush on Axel but thinks he doesn't like her. Her life is a mess, since her IBD is flaring up, so she's taking time out from school at her best friend's boyfriend's family A-frame to recover.Only When It's Us is my first Chloe Liese book, but after reading it, I'm looking forward to reading more! This is one of those books that's so fun to read you won't want to put it down. I enjoyed it so much! for similar setting, try All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata or Waterfall Effect (second chance, romantic suspense) by K.K. Allen. Rather than give me the lecture notes I missed like every other professor, I have been told to get them from the silent, surly flannel-wearing mountain man sitting next to me in class. Well, I tried. And what did I get from Ryder Bergman? Ignored.

The book takes place in a cozy A-frame. Even though Axel spent most of the time sleeping outside it because unfortunately he’s so much of a gentleman that sometimes I felt like hitting him, but whatever. When these two meet, it was not love at first sight. They immediately get off on the wrong foot, and thus begins their love/hate relationship where they constantly tease each other and try to get a rise out of the other. However, the more these two hang out, the more passionate their feelings for each other become. Both are reluctant to give into it (especially Willa), but they continue to grow closer and closer. I could curl up in Liese's writing for days, I love it so much!' Helen Hoang, author of The Kiss Quotient As far as I’m concerned there’s only one (1) requirement for contemporary romance novels: none of that misogyny (internalized or otherwise) / toxic masculinity / sexist bullshit. How can the bar be so high when it’s so low???

What I really loved about their dynamic was it wasn’t all hate. They reached a mutual understanding (before the pranking started rolling in) that they were clearly frenemies And there are sensitive subjects which are handled with care and approached sensitively: a shy, introvert, talented hero on the autism spectrum and sweet-kind hearted- genuine-selfless heroine with chronic IBD! im also disappointed we didnt get to see more of the Bergman family. but i guess since we saw so much of them in the last book, maybe the author wanted us to not be overwhelmed or get bored by them?? thankfully, the new side characters (the Hs friends) were a great company to have around. i really adored the woodsy, cabin-y setting, and the romance was just most wholesome. the h’s stomach condition had me caught between wanting to laugh or sympathize with her plight. 🙈🤣 Ryder Bergman and Willa Sutter share a class together. One wrong first impression and they’re more than eager to settle the score and push each other’s buttons. Thanks to their strict professor who thinks it’s a great idea to pair them up for a school project, they’re now decidedly frenemies. Special thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts.
