I wish I had words to better descirbe my affection for this fragrance but for me the whole thing, the name, the bottle the scent itself are perfect. It is made up of almost two hundred stainless steel plates, welded together so seamlessly that it appears as an unbroken polished surface (shaped like a giant bean, which is its nickname). no one who smelled it particularly liked it on me, it's main attribute was it's sillage and longevity and that's not necessarily a good thing with this perfume, lol. You are really transported to a hothouse filled with flowers - be careful though to not overspray as a little goes a long way! Despite this beautiful celestial fragrance being an knockout, the synthetic aquatic note triggered a hard aura migraine for me, leaving me dizzy and nauseous after about 20 min after spraying it on my clothes.

What I like about floral scents is the creaminess, the waxy smell of petals, which is part of the extracted oils and absolutes. I figured out that Luca Turin must have a thing for the aroma-chemical in all of them that smells a bit like hairspray. com is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646). Wearing Beyond paradise is like being enveloped in a warm, damp, impossibly thick suffocating mist of spring and tropical flowers. It's a happy, beautiful floral fragrance, and I'm glad it hasn't lost its magic over the last ten years.I was also hesitant because people described this as tropical and I was afraid it would be wrong kind of tropical like Escada or Tommy Bahama which are unbearable to me. This reminds me of a perfume I really loved way back in the eighties wen I was twentysomething, Lumiere by Rochas. Just thought I would see if anyone else was having the same issues with vintage Estee Lauder Perfumes going bad.

My body heat rushing around was still bringing out more of this tremendous composition made by estee lauder! It's a heavy, very floral scent, reminiscent of holidays a tropical paradise full of jasmines and gardenia and all sorts of wonderful things like that. With a great selection of the latest in beauty, ladies fashion, menswear, children’s toys and clothing, furniture, home and cookware, Morleys has everything you need all under one roof. The first smell put me off a lot, I was even repiulsed for about 15 minutes by how strong the florals are.Exotic brightly coloured birds dance their displays in the rich green trees, amazingly beautiful orchids drip with with sparkling dew, a crystal clear, warm blue lagoon invites you for a swim, brightly coloured butterflies flit by in a sunny glade, exotic friuts hang from the trees tempting you to taste, anything you wish for can be there! Of course, I may be completely biased because smelling Beyond Paradise reminds me of my youth and the grandfather who gifted it to me! The 90's were a change in direction for perfume which was sorely needed, a new era, a fresh approach. And the question does arise quite naturally in inquiring perfumistas' minds: How many ugly bottles of this repugnant stuff were sold blind subsequent to the publication of The Guide? I love many white floral notes and accords, like jasmine and gardenia, and their corresponding flowers in real life, especially outside.

Seriously, this is like a crap air freshener, which unfortunately also has masses of sillage and longevity. I don't think they did it because the juice inside was going rancid with time, this fragrance together with some other "old" ones were supposed to be very "oily" and be worn over a fur coat so they had to be kept in their boxes, in the dark and in a cold place.I feel like I am taking a walk through the brittany countryside when the honeysuckle is in full bloom. From the frag and bottle esthetics, I realize today how Beyond Paradise stands apart from Estee Lauder's other offerings. While the opening held promise, with a limpid resinousness reminiscent of and, in terms of quality, on a par with Banana Republic's creations, the drydown I find quite intolerable. I groaned to myself as I know how long lasting EL fragrances are and knew that washing would not help at all.

Every now and then I give this perfume a try in the hope of finding what makes other people love BP. Old Herbaceous: Like a few other scents I’ve described, I first encountered Beyond Paradise because Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez rated it with five stars in their book “Perfumes: The A-Z Guide. I like hyacinth in perfume - an infrequently used note - as it brings back springtime childhood memories. For me the opening doesn't die down even though I cannot smell the hyacinth on my skin any longer it is still swirling around my nostrils - odd that! The only positive about this perfume was its longevity, it prolonged the shower freshness for a few hours, so I suppose it was an OK solution for my hot Greek summers.

While objectively I wouldn't suggest Beyod Paradise is a fragrance masterpiece, I would definitely recomend it for younger girls as an introduction to perfume - or even women who are young at heart. I also love how this fragrance isn't overbearing and won't invade other's space, but leaves a nice cool aura around me. I keep it way in the back, out of the sunlight, to keep it preserved and it has held up remarkably well.
