I guess this is the result of a marketing campaign based on the concept "wierd equals original - original equals personality - personality equals beeing unique". Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. Anyway I think that some people maybe don’t know the difference of the words Cannabis, Hashish and Marihuana. The elevated concentration of fragrance oils in our perfumes leads to distinct formulations, setting them apart from the original scents. Take the black cap (charred wood), soak it in water for a few days, smell the water saturated wooden cap.

I don't get any of the dark, goth, awful sort of notes (not sure what people are talking about in comments). And once you get inside and towel your hair off a little and change into something very soft you exhale for the first time all week and start to look forward to a few days of solitude spent reading and cataloguing and cleaning and organizing and just going utterly joyfully insane over the little things that are just yours, the little quiet things full of precious details that nobody else around you cares about nearly as much as you do anyway, and these are such special little interests and they don’t get enough attention when you’re a liquid part fitting into the glowing juicy world out there with everyone else. The closest I can think is like the smoke of some kind of aromatic rubber but I mean that in the best way possible. The wearer of this scent is dressed in shadow-black robes, tall and silent, jewels on his fingers, and lost to the dark fever dream of a well-packed shisha. To me this is very much a Wintertime fragrance that is going to seem a weird choice in warm weather. Black Afgano’s mid-notes develop into smelling like marijuana with a dry, herbal-leafy accord (cured tobacco) tinged with a sweet sweaty note.

When I got a 2 mL sample of this, I did not find it as polarizing as I thought it would be based on the reviews. After six years of smelling and testing, the perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri unveils in 2009 a creation that marks the world of perfumery: Black Afgano. Overall, I really like the smell and it is very much artistic but not sure in what occasion I can pull it off if any.

Last Time I wore it, I passes by a couple of teenagers smoking weed and strangely it smelled exactly like me LOL. Don't get me wrong I rated that I love this scent but I associate scent with locations, scenarios and attire and no suitable location or attire come to mind that suits a woman except maybe a funeral or in a burqa. Kind of herbal, amber, a tiny bit bitter if I smell my skin directly - in fact the smell on my skin does give me the impression of cannabis, but my Dutch boyfriend says it doesn’t smell of cannabis at all. Leans extremely masculine, id only recommend this for a women if she's in a leather jacket partying giving off a fun baddie vibe, or hardcore hipster. The black liquid distilled inside the Italian-made bottle is a visual invitation into the aroma's natural world, with a cap carved from ebony-coloured wood. I guess, that one perfumer decided to share a formula from one of these brands and that's why we can create a version of this sort of olfactive profile. Don’t listen to anyone who says this quickly becomes a skin scent, which do you think is more likely: someone unknowingly developing anosmia towards an extremely potent fragrance, or a fragrance known to last upwards of 2 days losing all sillage and projection in a matter of hours?

No, what you're getting is a very high quality oud-amber fragrance, with facets of toffee, chewy sweetness. The medicinal nature of the oud, and the manner with which it combines with the amber, incense, and slightly honeyed undertones of the labdanum, feel very close as well. I wouldn't rate this as eternal or fills a room for siage but it's powerful long lasting and announces you within 2-3 meters. I will start off by saying that Gualtieri is certainly a master at his craft, and Black Afgano counts as one of the highlights of both Nasomatto and Orto Parisi. Flickers of dark, rooty, slightly earthy vetiver lurk in the base, while, up top, there is a surprising fruited note.Black Afgano is more woody, earthy and the oud is stronger than Pardon , where this provides more dark chocolate notes.
