I maintain that certain fragrances will choose its wearer and not the other way around; this is unfortunately the case with Gucci.

The bottle is made of transparent, steamy glass and is crowned with a silver top with a well-known symbol of horse-bit. I definitely become anosmic to another patch, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, after a couple of hours, and I discovered that on days when people were making pleasant remarks about my fragrance 6+ hours after I had applied Chanel Mademoiselle and I told them thanks, I could not smell it on myself at all - so that was very much a pleasant surprise that my scent was perceived by others in spite of me not being able to do so. It could've been a perfect signature scent but it falls flat in all aspects except the actual scent itself. I have enough fruitachouli's, they were something that was easy to get my hands on when I started collecting 2 years ago so the vibe here is a little played out for me, but they are wearable and crowd pleasing.Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application. The opening is a hit of unadulterated, juicy guava, then it quickly transitions to a carnal, musky, deep scent, reminiscent of NR For Her but much sexier - luscious and dripping with honey.

What both utterly confounds me and ticks me off about the poor performance is that if you take a look at the note breakdown, this fragrance is primarily made up of otherwise STRONG scents (Tobacco, Cypress, Violet, Patchouli, Leather, Resin)? I can't detect tiare (which is a shame as I love this note and it often gets paired with coconut which is sacrilege to me! I've read other reviews stating that they wished it was spicier but I think we have enough spicy scents out there already.Perfumes also make thoughtful gifts so have a look at our perfume gift sets, ideal for special occasions. I had a bit of worry about whether the "maturity" of this would end up smelling like a granny,but this mellows into more of an incense vibe. I'm not getting Tiare outright but there is a creamy, buttery richness to this composition that could only be attributed to that.

UPDATE: I LOVE this cologne and I discovered that it lasts all day as a close up scent if I spray it a few times on my clothes. It's actually making me wonder if this has been reformulated, but no one is saying it has, so it is probbably just me and my unlucky skin chemistry.The pairing of honey and patchouli sounds like something that could turn too animalistic or mildewy but it is simply a lovely pairing here.

This softens into the feminine sophistication of Tahitian tiare flower, lending a sweeping romance and old-fashioned elegance to this perfume. A very masculine fragrance, very peppery, woody notes, not too much tobacco for my taste, and some bergamot. The fragrance is so well-blended, and projects with the full sense of hard work and detail so legendarily accustom to the art of luxury craftsmanship. Recently bought a 90ml bottle and having 5 more 3 of 50ml and 2 of 90ml so if someone is interested.reminded me of a 70s vibe and yes, that strong almost balmy note but I expected to change in something elese. I don’t know why, but it smells like a sports cream or a rheumatic cream…Interesting…Later joins some patchouli, amber and resins, but this camphoric vibe lasts very very long.
