A Woman of my Age’ by Nina Bawden: A woman begins to question everything about her life and her marriage when she goes on holiday to Morocco with her husband. she is not "nice" any more because, after a year of separation from her husband and longer than that without a man, she now wants sex. The truth is that thinking herself a girl, nice or not, has ceased to be useful or relevant Ellen, like so many other women, is dissatisfied with her life. She has left her husband, taking their son with her. When he comes to take the boy on holiday, she makes her own to the south of France, spending her days in a haze of decadance and forgetfulness.
