About this deal

Though he's kept at his physical peak by a healthy diet, regular exercise, and staggeringly expensive rejuvenat treatments, Leontus has spent over a Terran century leading the Emperor's armies. Wearied by the horrors of war and the Imperium's brutal demands, the lord solar knows that he may never see the fruits of his tireless efforts. Nevertheless, he continues to lead from the front -- armed with his pistol Sol's Righteous Gaze, and his Power Sword Conquest. By the looks of the model, his helmet is probably an Iron Halo too, or a refractor field of some kind. Not unusual for important imperials. Even after the loss of billions of Imperial soldiers to Warp storms, combat attrition or calamities unknown in the Era Indomitus, the Militarum Regimentos at the Lord Commander Solar's command have been depleted still further by the demands of the Indomitus Crusade. Every trooper of the Astra Militarum knows that it is not their tireless work and bloody sacrifice that keeps the Hammer of the Emperor moving ever toward glorious victory. That honour must rightly be credited to the peerless tactics and unshakable leadership provided by the echelons of high command. Morcar - A famed lord commander of the Astra Militarum remembered for his battles with the Asuryani. He is most famous among Imperial military strategists for this quotation, "I had heard many rumours of the horrors of the mysterious Eldar. Of fire-clad Daemons no weapons could harm. Of power-wreathed psykers who can tell your future and forecast your doom. Of winged warriors falling from the sky like rain and tall guardian warriors powered by the spirits of the dead. None concerned me. None held any terror for a faithful servant of the Emperor with the might of the Imperial Guard at his command. None save their aircraft. When fighting the Eldar, watch the skies..."

He would never gainsay Primarch Roboute Guilliman's directives, but within their parameters Leontus has emerged victorious from many political battles with planetary governors, Navis Imperialis admirals and Officio Logisticarum adepts. With the aid of entire corps of strategic advisers, cloisters of priests and a personally maintained stable of psychic seers, prophets and Emperor's Tarot readers known as the Collegiate Astrolex, Leontus has masterminded hundreds of stunning victories.Sign up for our newsletter to get the latest Astra Militarum news and periodicals sent directly to your inbox.**** As he sees them, the lord solar's duties lie first with the defence of the Throneworld, then the Sol System, then its neighbouring sub-sectors and the segmentum's wider frontiers. You then make a Charge roll for the charging unit by rolling 2D6. The result is the maximum number of inches each model in that unit can be moved if a Charge move is possible. For a Charge move to be possible, the Charge roll must be sufficient to enable the charging unit to end that move: His steed Konstantin* is decades old, now largely cybernetic and clad in gleaming armour. From this lofty perch, Arcadian Leontus commands the men and women of the Astra Militarum as they endure horrifying battles in their mission to protect the Imperium from the heretic, the mutant, and the alien. Inquisitor • Commissar • Priest • Tech-Priest • Enginseer • Sanctioned Psyker • Primaris Psyker • Wyrdvane Psyker

A Warmaster’s cross-regional command extends beyond any traditional remits – as demonstrated by Slaydo, the first Imperial Warmaster of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, and his chosen heir Macaroth.** To know your betters is a practical and spiritual imperative. Whenever challenged, failure to accurately list the ranks, designations, and titles of those who command your very life and death is a grievous offence – one punishable to the fullest extent of the Imperium’s considerable wrath. Precedent for these preemptive defensive excursions is said to have been set by the legendary Saint Macharius. A Lord Commander Solar, a Warmaster, and a hero, Macharius conquered 1,000 planets in a mere seven years – and fell to his knees and wept when his troops would not follow him into the void.* Shortly after, he [redacted] , and his soul ascended to its rightful place beside the Emperor. During the Declare Battle Formations step, for each Leader in your army, if your army also includes one or more of that Leader’s Bodyguard units, you can select one of those Bodyguard units. That Leader will then attach to that Bodyguard unit for the duration of the battle and is said to be leading that unit. Each Bodyguard unit can only have one Leader attached to it.Otto Ivan Gustavus - Otto Ivan Gustavus was a lord commander of the Astra Militarum once described as a walrus of a man from Valhalla. In his youth Gustavus first served as a Lieutenant commanding an armoured fist platoon, and eventually rose to command his regiment of Valhallan Ice Warriors before ultimately earning promotion into the ranks of the Imperial High Command's General Staff. He was known to be loud, bellicose, and generally unpleasant but possessed of a keen political sense. Gustavus took overall command of the Imperial forces during the Taros Campaign, though he was relieved of his command and arrested by Commissar-General Mordred Van Horcic after the failure of Operation Comet during that brutal campaign. Unorthodox use of the tarot readers of The Collegiate Astrolex gives Leontus the ability to change one of his army’s secondary objectives or Agendas on the cusp of battle, reacting to his foe’s plans. Or if he’s feeling secure in his tactical choices, he can proceed with steely confidence and gain an additional Command point in the first Command phase. Though he’s kept at his physical peak by a healthy diet, regular exercise, and staggeringly expensive rejuvenat treatments, Leontus has spent over a century leading the Emperor’s armies. As the Lord Commander Solar, Arcadian Leontus sits among the highest echelons of the Imperium, boasting an unimaginable roll of titles, peerages, ranks, and probably a whole gaggle of attendants tasked solely with ensuring that his horse has enough cyber-hay.

Xa'chan - Xa'chan was a lord high general, a variant title for lord commander, of the Astra Militarum. The five lord commanders are each responsible for directing the operations of all of the Imperial Guard forces within an entire segmentum of the Imperium. Outside battle, however, he endures a weariness of spirit, privately appalled at the horrors he sees constantly perpetrated by the Imperium upon its own people. He has authorised many himself, having sent millions of guardsmen into the most terrifying conditions, but Leontus sees such steps as distasteful necessities on a path to ultimate salvation for Humanity. With grim pragmatism, the old soldier knows he will not see the hoped-for destination of his works. For him, it is enough that he paves the way. Arcadian Leontus - Leontus is the current lord commander solar of the Astra Militarum in the Era Indomitus, the supreme commander of all Astra Militarum forces in the Segmentum Solar, the very heart of the Imperium. Though his remit is technically confined to the defence of the Segmentum Solar, Leontus has led campaigns far beyond its boundaries. How else, he argues, can he protect Holy Terra from distant foes? Not just a robo-horse, it was an actual horse that's been converted into cybernetics over the years. Neat. Macharius - Macharius was the lord commander solar, the supreme military commander of the Imperium's Segmentum Solar and one of the High Lords of Terra, who is also perhaps the most famous commander of the Astra Militarum. Granted the rank of warmaster by the Senatorum Imperialis, he undertook the Macharian Conquests, also called the Macharian Crusade, of 392-399.M41, which in only seven standard years added nearly 1,000 new worlds to the Imperium at the very edge of the Milky Way Galaxy in the Segmentum Pacificus. He was also later canonised as a saint of the Imperial Cult by the Ecclesiarchy.

Some rules allow you to re-roll a dice roll, which means you get to roll some or all of the dice again. If a rule allows you to re-roll a dice roll that was made by adding several dice together (2D6, 3D6 etc.) then, unless otherwise stated, you must re-roll all of those dice again. If a rule allows you to re-roll specific dice results, only those dice can be re-rolled. If a rule allows you to re-roll a specific dice result, but the result is obtained by halving a D6 (such as when rolling a D3), you use the value of the halved roll to determine if it can be re-rolled, not the value of the original D6. For example, if a rule states to re-roll results of 1, and you roll a D3, you would re-roll if the D6 rolled a 1 or a 2 (which is then halved to get a D3 value of a 1). Zuhlke - Zuehlke was a lord commander of the Astra Militarum and the original tactical commander of the Imperial forces engaged in the Siege of Vraks. Slow and cautious, the siege proceeded at a snail's pace and resulted in high casualties under his command. However, when the arrival of Chaos Space Marine warbands on Vraks routed the forces under his command, Zuehlke was replaced as overall commander of the siege by Marshal Amim Kargori of the Astra Militarum. Warhammer Community - Lead the Astra Militarum From the Front With the Legendary Lord Solar Leontus. A war scholar, polyhistor and martial tactician of the highest calibre, the Lord Commander Solar's razor-sharp intellect and energetic leadership belie his extensive command experience of more than a standard century. Regiments of costly rejuvenat treatments, alongside suites of concealed bionics within his polished armour, keep Leontus at his physical peak. To aid you in this simplest of memory exercises, and to commemorate the latest victories of the reigning Lord Solar , we’ve compiled a simple and straightforward primer of command ranks.Armed with his pistol Sol's Righteous Gaze, his power sword Conquest and his Cyborg horse Konstantin, Leontus maintains a formidable prowess despite his age. However, while he is kept at his physical peak by a healthy diet, regular exercise, and staggeringly expensive Rejuvenat treatments, Leontus is wearied by the horrors of war and the Imperium's brutality. While privately distressed by the Imperium's brutal necessities, he has nonetheless overseen many such actions himself. The Lord Commander Solar knows that he may never see the fruits of his tireless efforts, but nevertheless, he continues to lead from the front against the Imperium's foes. [1] Though his remit is technically confined to the defence of the Segmentum Solar, Leontus has led campaigns far beyond its boundaries. How else, he argues, can he protect Holy Terra from distant foes? Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: The structure of the Astra Militarum is rigorously designed to best suit the needs of the Imperial war effort – long may it continue. At times, however, even greater sacrifice and derring-do are required to fulfil the Emperor’s vision. Should the High Lords of Terra choose, they may appoint a notable individual to command a full Crusade. Such honourees are given the weighty rank of Warmaster. Neither does he cower in command bunkers or orbital strategiums far from the front line. Instantly visible from his elevated position upon Konstantin -- his steed for solar decades, who by now is almost entirely cybernetic -- Leontus radiates stern composure and decisive command.
