Josie cannot catch a break! I swear this girl goes through more crap, I would have broken down but she just dusts herself off & keeps going & I love it.

I apologies to the author in advance, I don't think you made a bad book. In fact, for New Adult I think this is perfect. I was just not the target audience and I don't think I ever would have been. All of my critiques work the best in the style chosen but unfortunately I am gonna let people know my true thoughts. Quite frankly, I skimmed over all the parts in this book where Josie and Brook had sex because, I just couldn’t put up with her endlessly gushing over how much she needed him, how gorgeous he was, how safe he made her feel. It also felt like the author was desperate to insert sex into every couple of chapters just to remind us she she was getting off writing about these two. Book Genre: Academic, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Dark, High School, New Adult, Polyamorous, Reverse Harem, Romance, School, Young Adult Plus, no WAY are these guys 17, in High School, planning there futures together, with all this plotting, when their first reaction to a crisis is to hit the hard liquor (bourbon) or F it out of their system.I didn’t ask for this life, and yet I’m caught in the middle of a dangerous game. And the stakes are deadlier. The Elite, four damaged, gorgeous, arrogant guys, think they own me now. But I have my own family drama. Turns out, my entire identity is a lie. It’s fascinating in these stories how many female characters let guy’s off the hook for their behaviour because, they subconsciously want to hook up with them/ be their girlfriend.

I turned my gaze out the window before Grayson caught the sudden water that sprang to my eyes. Don´t cry. Don´t cry. Leaving us with an..OH! FFS moment, with the Scooby gang all punching the air with glee, hugs all round, and Josie being officially welcomed into the Elite in front of the attending student body…Aww …groan! If you enjoy steamy, drama-filled reads, with a dose of suspense and a cliffhanger ending then this book is for you. By the second half to last third, I was hooked on the story itself and while the big ending scene and cliffhanger event didn't quite hit the mark, I definitely wish book two was ready to go and can't wait to read it and see what happens.Josie is caught in the throes of a mystery and she finds her REAL family and begins the process of getting to know them.

This whole part has the boys, & the equally interfering Mads feeling quite smug in their little “I told you so” wink moment. ( Mads…Ugh..What a pain she is) Josie - she is hella bad ass! She’s such a tough, don’t-mess-with-me type of cookie. She stands her ground and gives as good as she gets. I don’t mind a damsel in distress female lead character, but it’s completely refreshing when I find a book with a heroine like Josie. Cut to weeks later Josie’s enjoying a day out shopping with bestie Ainsley, and spots a SUV full of gorgeous guys and IG perfect girls. When Josie got jumped by the mean girls in the alley, and once home, all the Elite boys showing up to make sure “she was okay”They call themselves the Elite—four boys from the wealthiest and most prominent families in Elmwood, which somehow gives them the right to be righteous A-holes. Josie was pretty strong heroine, she wasn't unnecessary cruel towards future GFs, but still she had that inner strength that most heroines of bully books miss. And it’s not long before these two are dragging each other into a room to bang out their lustful feelings. Well, in true soap opera style, the evil Angie swapped her dying daughter for Josie in the hospital…I kid you not…haha! It was hard to read and depressing at times. Overall a good read, great writing but a bit morbid and weak. The heroine was victimized and powerless way too often.

Josie has to move as her mom remarried to a rich man, so it is time to for new town, new school, and new people. Of course, her stepbrother is a complete jerk who hates her (conflict 1). Then she catches the attention of the Elite. They are the quintessential kings of the school. Throughout the book secrets are revealed and some are kept to make you asking what is going on. Now the Elite (this includes Josie) have to hold on to their little secret a bit longer so they can break the new to Greyson’s parents first, that there daughter is alive, while dealing with Angie. This is the second book this week that I thought the second book was already out and as I go search for book 2 and find out that IT ISN'T!!!! I AM GUTTED lol. So this is my first book by this author (as I do not really care for paranormal), but this is a series I will be continuing. To me this is a classic academy, bully, reverse harem romance.
