About this deal

Can be applied on new, bright or shot-blasted steel or well pre-treated coated surfaces such as barbecues, boiler fittings, hot air cannons, exhausts, etc. Intended for small maintenance jobs and repairs, providing protection up to a dry heat of 750°C (short term peak load) for applications indoors or in a sheltered outdoor environment. Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C, heat resistant coatings based on a silicone modified alkyd resin.Mechanical strain may cause visible marks on the painted surface. This is a typical product feature of matt paints; however, it does not affect the functionality of the product Once dry, the surface should now be prepared to paint over with a suitable topcoat. If your fireplace still functions then you will require a heat-resistant primer and topcoat, such as Tikkurila Murri. Blast cleaning to achieve an appropriate surface profile is the best method of preparation for stainless steel, however as Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C is for general/consumer use and not professional or industrial applications we can assume that in the majority of instances blast cleaning will not be achievable. The principle of requiring a profiled surface to assist in the adhesion of the paint system remains, and so preparation advice for smaller projects that still wish to attempt it would be as follows; It is recommended to wait for at least two weeks before the treated surfaces are put into use to ensure the product reaches the heat durability requirements

Due to its expert technical knowledge of the technologies and materials available across the industry, Promain has a reputation for outstanding service among its trade and retail customers.Non-functioning fireplaces – like those with tiles where the hearth would normally be – can be decorated using a non-heat resistant paint such as Bradite One Can. Available at Rawlins Paints in 2,400+ colours, with a choice of an eggshell or matt finish. Can I use normal paint behind a wood burning stove? The surface to be painted must be clean, dry and sound and the temperature of the air/surface should be a minimum of +10°C with a relative humidity of below 80%
