About this deal

The Galaxy Book3 Pro comes in two sizes - 14-inch and 16-inch, while the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 only comes with a 16-inch display. They share quite a bit of underlying technology with the Ultra. For starters, the display specs across all four models are the same - you get a variably-refreshing AMOLED panel of 2880x1800px resolution. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra is currently the most powerful gaming and professional laptop sold by Samsung. It includes Samsung's most innovative features, putting next-level performance at the forefront. It boasts a magnificent 16-inch WQXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display for a larger and more expansive viewing experience. Weighing in at just 1.79Kg its ultra-thin and light, offering superior portability and flexibility. And in this top-end mode the laptop doesn’t reach the kind of peak performance you might see in a chunkier laptop with this CPU. In Geekbench 5 it scores 9455 points, where laptops with the same processor can score 1000 points more, around 10% extra.

In many ways, it’s easy to like the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G. It’s very light and slim, build quality is excellent and the quality of its display is second to none. Video runtime on a 30-minute charge is an estimation taking into account the 17-hour video runtime on a full charge against the battery charge amount after 30 minutes of charging with the inbox 65W charger where device is completely turned off with 2% battery remaining. Samsung did announce new 12th Gen versions of this laptop, but minus the LTE and 5G. Intel's latest processors should be a winner, but we haven't reviewed them yet for laptops like this, leaving it a bit of a mystery. Samsung does have a new 5G laptop coming out, but oddly it's the 15.6-inch version and not this model. That means if you buy this laptop now, there's no immediate replacement on the horizon. Phone Link requires linking a Samsung Galaxy smartphone to a Windows PC through ‘Link to Windows’ app on phone and 'Phone Link' app on PC and following the set-up prompts, including being signed into the same Microsoft account. Overall, it’s a very attractive laptop but there are a few too many compromises for it to warrant a wholehearted recommendation. We conducted three separate battery life tests, which tasked the laptop with continuously surfing the web over Wi-Fi with the screen set to 150 nits of brightness. On average, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 lasted for 7 hours and 46 minutes. This is an abysmal average on its own, but when compared to its predecessor which lasted four hours longer, it's horrendous.

The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 also includes all the tools you need for a productive day's work. From the 1080p FHD high-resolution camera, AKG™ tuned quad speakers and bi-directional AI Noise Cancelling microphone, this laptop makes you work smarter not harder. What's more, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 supports almost all the ports you need. It has two USB Type C ports with Thunderbolt™ 4, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, HDMI, HP/MIC port, and a microSD card slot. A SIM slot has been additionally provided for the 5G model too.The Book Pro 360 5G is also the first Samsung laptop – indeed, the first laptop from any manufacturer – that we’ve received to come with Windows 11 out of the box. Now, I fully expect Windows 11 machines to arrive with increasing frequency from now on, especially with the launch of Microsoft’s Surface devices, but good on Samsung for getting in there first.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 has an improved webcam over its predecessor, though the image quality still leaves something to be desired. (Image credit: Tom's Guide) You do have to pay attention to the performance mode you are in, though. A keyboard shortcut swaps you between Silent, Quiet, Optimised and High Performance modes. The fact that I can have so many open tabs with a video running speaks well of this laptop's performance. But how did it do in our official testing? The Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 quad speakers deliver solid audio. Everything from highs, lows and mids come through crystal clear. The sound never gets muddled, even with the volume cranked all the way up. With that said, the bass sounded too thin for my tastes. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra is optimised for fast-paced, dynamic gaming. With the true colours of DCI-P3 120% combined with the silky, smooth 120Hz variable refresh rate, you’ll enjoy immersive content without any tearing or stuttering. Add in clear and powerful sound tuned by AKG™ and Dolby Atmos and you'll hear the highest frequencies and richest bass sounds with perfect clarity, putting you right in the heart of the action. The Galaxy Book3 Pro models ship with a new 65W USB-C adapter with Power Delivery that can double as your Galaxy phone or tablet charger.

Easily stay connected whether you're working from home or on the go, with both WiFi and 5G connectivity capabilities. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch model has a 63Wh battery, while the 16-inch Galaxy Book3 Pro and Book3 Pro 360 have the same 76Wh as the Galaxy Book3 Ultra. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is available with either a Core i5 or Core i7 Intel® 13th generation chipset and compared to the previous generation, the CPU performance has been improved by 9% for multithreading performance and 8% for single-thread performance 5 . Benefitting from an Intel® Evo™ platform and Intel Iris XI graphics the Galaxy Book3 Pro offers a premium PC experience. Besides excellent color representation, this display also supports touch and inking via the Samsung S Pen. I find the S Pen often superior and more fun to use than Microsoft's Surface Pen, which applies here. Mixing Samsung's excellent assortment of Galaxy apps and this is an outstanding 2-in-1 laptop for taking notes, primarily because of its unparalleled thin-and-light design.
