About this deal

Really does look like Warhammer is trying to clean out the vault with all their retired Warbands! Another to watch for if you really like floating balloon-toting steampunk dwarves. Warhammer Stormbringer 57 Contents So, on the surface, the immediate savings are a couple of percent up when compared to Imperium. Below I will dive into the individual elements. And bear in mind, I worked this out before the March 2022 price increase to some sets. So far, on the whole, I feel that Stormbringer has had a more consistently good selection of stuff in it that it’s predecessor, Warhammer 40,000 Imperium did. Whilst Imperium had some staggering highes (Aggressors, Guilliman, that one month where we got an entire unit of Space Marines, a cannon, a buggy and some other stuff), it also had some serious lows -= largely thanks to the Necron side of the collection and the constant appearance of uninspired bits of terrain (storage containers, anyone?). Mortal Realms launched in the UK and Spain last year and brought thousands of new hobbyists into the battles and stories of the Age of Sigmar. This week, the first issue lands in stores across France, giving a whole new audience a chance to enter the realms.

You don’t even need to be a brand new hobbyist to enjoy Stormbringer magazine, as it’s a great way for veteran generals to build up their collection and try their hand at armies they may not have considered before. There’s even a premium subscription for dedicated Warhammer connoisseurs that adds centrepiece miniatures such as Krondys, Son of Dracothion and Gordrakk, Fist of Gork. Last of all, we have the plastic cutters. It’s a good job these are part of a free gift, because they are rubbish. These plastic cutters creep their way into starter kits across Games Workshop’s ranges or slither into partworks magazines in the hope of making it to your hobby desk and messing up your minis. “What’s so terrible about them?” you cry. Well, simple. They don’t actually cut – they crush. Now, onto the really good stuff – and I’m pleased to say that Issues 1 and 2 get things off to a decent start. Yep, once again there are 7 free gifts planned, similar but slightly different to those in previous magazines.

Thanks for the info! I’ve subbed already (subbed to conquest for about 20 issues too), really looking forward to it & they’ve done a good job bundling everything you need to get a game going right away, plus issue 3 gets me some stormcast vanguard I need for warcry. Here when they say “+ more”. We know some of the more already (which I’ll detail below), but if that’s it, it makes premium feel far less appealing this time.

The Warhammer TV team have been hard at work on a brand new selection of shows covering every side of the hobby. We’ve covered Age of Sigmar Third Edition quite extensively since it dropped, which means that we can show off a couple of our painted models to give you all a sense what they may look like when they’re all finished off. Looking at grey plastic is all well and good, but it’s always nice to see what other people have done with their minis by way of inspiration.Of course, throughout the magazines there are new rules, new missions, and new battleplans for you to be cutting your competitive teeth on. There are also painting guides so you can be getting your miniatures up-to-date if you’re following along with the steps in these issues. Miniatures Krondys, the Son of Dracothian. This enormous miniature, measuring about 19cms high at the top point of his extended wing, is truly magnificent – and, I understand, a lot of people’s primary reason for diving into Stormbringer with a premium subscription. He is truly magnificent and covered in wonderful details. An imposing and domineering miniature to paint, too, I imagine he’ll sit proudly atop many piles of shame/potential for quite some time before his new owners are brave enough to try to paint him. Like with the Hobgrots, the Vigilors in this issue are halved from the original box, coming with 5 instead of 10 in the issue. Warhammer Stormbringer 32 Contents A Large Base Brush, A Medium Shade Brush and a Small Layer Brush Mortal Realms 7th Delivery Contents

It’s a shame not as many people are into Age of Sigmar as they are Warhammer 40,000 – well, at least looking at the info we have, it certainly doesn’t appear as though they are. With Tenth Edition just crashing into the 40K universe, Age of Sigmar has been (somewhat necessarily) side-lined for the moment. But people are missing out. With Citadel Colour Masterclass, you can learn advanced painting techniques and watch guides dedicated to painting some of the most spectacular centrepiece models in the Warhammer range. If you want to take your Warhammer painting further, the Citadel Colour Masterclass will be at the top of your list. The value of these is calculated from Extremis Edition of Aos, divided by the number of sprues in that set. the model below is on one connected sprue. Warhammer Stormbringer Issue 10 Contents You’ll be able to build a horde of Moonclan Shootas with this kit. These are quite old models, but are still overflowing with charm – and are extremely easy to assemble. Each is made up of between two and four parts and go together with just a touch of glue. They won’t take you long, and now you’ve got a heap of teensy goblins to be painting. Nice. The image shows a Citadel painting Handle and a model. I bet we only get the handle itself. Mortal Realms 5th Delivery Contents A Binder, you will be getting (and will probably be charged) for 3 more of these throughout the 80 issue series. Mortal Realms 4th Delivery Contents If you like what we’re doing here you could really help encourage more content with a share on any social media platform. Another thinbg to be aware of, however, is damage. There are a lot of pointy bits on these guys, and as you can make out in the image above, some of my sprues in this magazine arrived a little worse for wear: Mannok (bottom centre) is both rather bent in places, and the haft of his weapon was snapped on the sprue. Watch out for this with your own miniatures.

In case this may come as a disappointment, there are a few sides of lore dedicated to Chaos and Destruction factions – including a fold-out insert all about Orruks, Ogors, and Sons of Behemat.I think our cold open up-top is pretty self-explanatory – the Stormbringer magazine, previously available only in the UK, is now confirmed to be coming to the US of A, where all our American readers can now enjoy the fruits of cheap Warhammer Age of Sigmar kits and a great magazine to boot. The question now, is when?
