About this deal

The MoKo Tablet Pillow is a soft, fabric-covered stand that is perfect for using your iPad in bed. The relaxation-friendly design means you can read an ebook or watch a movie between the sheets without worrying about hard edges or sharp corners. Most iPads are supported (bar the iPad mini) and there’s a useful slot for your Apple Pencil, too. The case is microfibre-lined, scratch-resistant, and relatively lightweight, but it inevitably adds some bulk to your iPad. Although the arm mounts can help us in a lot of ways, they’re an often overlooked or underestimated piece of furniture. They can be useful in education, business, cooking, etc. They should come with the iPad.

When shopping for an iPad stand, it's important to keep in mind what size screen it has. Fortunately, most stands are adjustable, so they can accommodate small tablets like the iPad mini as well as big-screened ones like the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. However, some stands are incapable of holding certain tablets, depending on how big or small they are. Form Factor I’m a full iPad stand convert. I’m still some way from making effective use of every iPad I have to hand, but these stands really do transform Apple’s tablet.

Let’s start with the design of this iPad arm. The first thing you notice is the premium quality and the heavy-duty nature. They use a combination of aluminum for the arms and stainless steel for each axis. It’s also a very simple yet elegant design that matches the Apple aesthetic. The install was extremely easy and self-explanatory. Once it’s set up and mounted onto the desk, just slap your iPad onto the magnetic plate, and you are all set.

The case is IP42-rated so you should be safe from spills, and there's a little spot to carry the Apple Pencil if needed. The screen does require a firmer press, but that might be worth the added peace of mind. However, don’t despair, because Magfit has thought of you, too. Enter the ‘Liquid Silicone’ case, which is designed to both protect your iPad and give it the magnets required for stand compatibility (note – the case isn’t in the image below). So, now that I’ve hopefully given you some food for thought when it comes to use cases for iPad stands, let’s look at four great options. Option 1: CharJenPro MagFlött Rather than using this as a Mac hub (losing the iPad charging is a bit of a bummer in that scenario), it does present a rather awesome use case for anyone who wants to turn their iPad into a fully-fledged multiport device, complete with SD card slots, USB-A 3.1 inputs, and a 4K@60Hz HDMI output. However, you can’t do much more than watching videos with this iPad arm. Because of gravity, it’s basically impossible to use your iPad while it’s in the desk mount. It’ll undoubtedly wobble and shake. If you need to tap and use your device frequently, you might want to reconsider buying this product or invest in a stylus. Key FeaturesIt wasn't that long ago that serious digital artists needed a Wacom or similarly drawing-focused tablet. That is no longer the case--- all you need is an iPad and a drawing stand like the MAX SMART Tablet Drawing Stand. Car mounts: There are several types of car mounts. They’re usually attachable to dashboards, windshields, headrests, etc. This stand also comes with a stylus, so you can control your iPad without touching it or shaking it. It’s compatible with most 7-13 inch tablets and has port access, so you can charge your laptop while it’s in use. Key Features It’s double-hinged, too (although the pre-release version I was sent didn’t have the base hinge), which means you have the option of lowering the iPad to the table if you want a super low-profile angle or folding it flat for easy transportation. Portrait and landscape orientation are also available via the 360-degree adjustable mount.

To summarize my experience with the X36, for me, it was exactly what I needed and wanted. It fits perfectly into my all iPad workflow. It allows me to use my iPad in multiple ways on my desk like in tablet mode, but also in stand mode. The build quality is extremely premium as well! If you are in a similar situation as I am, then this is a no-brainer. There’s just one issue – the magnets aren’t as strong as the other stands on this list. And that’s rather unnerving if you’re an iPad Pro 12.9″ owner. The Infinity stand is the cheapest option on this list, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to sacrifice build quality if you opt for it. Just like every Benks product I’ve tested, the Infinity is built like a tank. The hinge is stiff (possibly a little too stiff) and the magnets confidently take a hold of your iPad.When possible, I put all my screens on arm mounts. Ultrawide monitor? Mounted. iPad? You bet. It clears up the precious space that would've been taken by a pesky stand, and you can adjust the angle and height of the screen. Twelve South's HoverBar Duo delivers this luxury. I mounted it to the side of my bed frame for several months to catch up on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The clamp is slim and doesn't need much clearance, so you can attach it to shelves, kitchen counters, or desks. The Type-C PD input on the rear of the hub can draw 100W of passthrough power, but will obviously only charge your iPad at its maximum wattage. The benefit of the 100W is that you can charge a number of devices from the hub – such as your iPhone and AirPods – at the same time. An iPad stand allows you to elevate your favorite tablet and bring a whole new world of interactions that range from hands-viewing to using it with an external keyboard and mouse, all the way to using it as an Apple Pencil canvas or notepad. Still, these accessories are frequently overlooked, even though there are thousands to choose from. If you want to write or draw on your iPad or to otherwise use the touchscreen, then you might need something that will hold the device more firmly so that it won't wobble when you touch the screen. For that, you have versatile options like the Twelve South Hoverbar Duo at the top of our selection or the Twelve South ParcSlope if you're looking for an iPad stand that's super stable for drawing.

Clearly, this product means a lot to CharJenPro, and their enthusiasm for it reveals how transformative this type of iPad accessory can be for users. I’m a huge fan of Benks. Their AirPods Max stand remains one of the most popular accessories I’ve ever reviewed, and for good reason: it looks and feels like Apple should have made it. As much as I want to integrate iPads into my daily work and leisure time, they’re so easily sidelined, thanks to the comfort of macOS on my M1 MacBook Air, and the ease with which you can do everything on an iPhone these days.
