About this deal

Based on first impressions, it was obvious that the company goes to great lengths to make the process approachable and pleasant for first-timers. Even the little bag they included to store the cup was adorable. Using The Saalt Menstrual Cup For some, there is a feeling of fullness or slight pressure the first cycle or two until their bodies adjust to the idea of a menstrual disc. As a B Corp, Saalt also supports ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices. Our ethically-made garments are made in a renowned factory that guarantees safe and healthy labor conditions and goes above and beyond to provide housing, medical care, safe water, and college scholarships for their seamstresses and workers. Using reusable solutions like period underwear and menstrual cups is one of the simplest ways to divert massive amounts of period waste. Keep in mind we've only talked about the waste, this doesn't even consider the strain on natural resources that the production of so many disposable products creates, and the carbon footprint of all that manufacturing. Reusable products just use less, waste less, and are cleaner to produce. Keeps you confident. Our sheet-saving, tight-pants-braving leakproof barrier gives you no pad, no problem confidence.

Absolutely NOT. I have never been able to use tampons I just can't get them in right, too drying and irritating on putting in and removing, I can always feel them. However with a cup from the very first time it was perfect. Easy to get in and doesn't need to be positioned high as tampons. Pinch the bottom of the cup once or twice directly below the dent/fold, essentially "pumping" the fold out of the cup. If you're a front bleeder, wearing Saalt Wear for incontinence, or looking for a longer gusset we recommend our Leakproof High Waist, Leakproof French Cut High Waist, Comfort Brief, and our Comfort Boyshort. Front bleeders and those seeking incontinence protection should avoid bikini styles.First, the Saalt Cup + Saalt Wear dynamic duo is our favorite way to period. Why? Because it provides a fully reusable solution to replace both tampons and pads that is better for our bodies and the planet. Our Comfort Brief and Boyshort, Leakproof Seamless Brief, Leakproof Mesh Hipster, Leakproof High Waist Brief, and Leakproof French Cut High Waist are available in heavy absorbency that is made for your heavy flow days or free bleeding and hold 3-4 regular tampons (3–4 tsp or 15–20 ml) worth of flow. Our Leakproof Lace Hipster and all thong styles are made for your light flow days and hold 1–2 light tampons (~1 tsp or 3–6 ml) worth of flow. After leaving the cup in for about eight hours, I decided to remove it and switch to a panty liner while I slept. But removing the cup was an entirely different experience than inserting it. It took me about 15 minutes to take it out. The action of removing the cup itself wasn’t quite as easy as the instructions made it sound, and I had to do some maneuvering to understand how to comfortably take it out. Don’t be fooled by the stem — I learned the hard way that the stem is not a pull tab. The instructions do tell you not to grab the stem, but when I first approached this daunting task, I didn’t necessarily see another option. NO. The cup will seal your vaginal canal. I have read cases of people who supposedly did leave it in and he slipped by the side but seriously I can't even begin to imagine how this worked out with a standard regular cup. See our Separate article on "Sex and Menstrual Cups." However menstrual discs are designed for mess free penetrative sex in mind so there are options for you. I have an IUD can I still use a menstrual cup?

If the Saalt Menstrual Cup is positioned incorrectly, it can put pressure on your urethra or bladder. It may feel like you have to urinate often or can feel like a weak urine stream, where it can take a long time to empty your bladder. Either way, changing the position of the cup should help relieve this pressure. You’ll want to be sure that you are positioning your cup to match the natural slant of your vaginal canal. To do this, try inserting your cup more horizontally toward your tailbone. Tampons are getting a lot of press these days because of toxic components not required to be listed in the ingredients. We're seeing a major shift in the marketplace where consumers are actively choosing safer and healthier options for themselves and the environment. From high-quality materials to clean manufacturing processes, Saalt Wear leakproof underwear is a remarkably safe and simple solution for period care. Some of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX®️ and bluesign®️ approved, which are internationally recognized standards for making textiles cleaner and more environmentally friendly. The Leakproof Seamless Collection includes light, regular, and heavy absorbency styles. The Seamless Thong is made for your light flow days and holds 1–2 light tampons (~ 1 tsp or 3–6 ml) worth of flow. The Seamless Bikini and High Waist are both made for your regular flow days and hold 2–3 regular tampons (2–3 tsp or 10–15 ml) worth of flow. Finally, the Seamless Brief comes in both regular absorbency and heavy absorbency which holds 3-4 regular tampons (3–4 tsp or 15–20 ml) worth of flow. Yes absolutely. No chance of any leaking blood down your legs, any escaped strings. I do find that some water leaks into the cup which comes out when the cup is removed. This is fine and if you weren't wearing a cup water would get into your vagina anyway. I always empty my cup after swimming. Full Details In Our Article "Can I Go Swimming With A Cup?" Can I exercise with my menstrual cup in? If you find your cervix becoming sore from the disc removal process, we recommend trying the following to not irritate your cervix:

Many people find that they can wear either size comfortably, but one size may suit your anatomy better than the other. If you’re unsure of which size to choose, it is helpful to know your cervix height. To measure your cervix height, follow these steps: Comfortable - Soft and flexible, it molds to your shape. Saalt creates premium menstrual cups that are modern and innovative, with multiple sealing points to prevent leaks, and a soft flex stem for comfort. Saalt started with a phone call Cherie made to an aunt in Venezuela, where pads and tampons had not been available in stores for years. She immediately thought of her daughters and what she would do if she found herself in the same situation. The dependence she and others had on disposables kept her up at night. Fabric softener repels fluid. A build-up of fabric softener on your Saalt Wear will prohibit the gusset from performing.
