About this deal

Electrolytics: 1x Nippon Chemi-Con (4-10,000 @ 105°C, KY), 2x Rubycon (3-6,000 @ 105°C, YXG) Polymers: Nippon Chemi-Con (G61B, G8, G84R, G84G, G85F), 6x Nichicon (LG) Unfortunately in the real world, Power Factor is reduced by highly inductive loads down to values of 0.7 (70%) or less. This induction is caused by equipment such as small electric motors, fans, fluorescent lighting ballasts and transformers such as those in PSUs. This is bad news for the electricity generating companies who can impose a surcharge on heavy users if they have a consistently low Power Factor, as more electricity has to be produced to make up the shortfall. The unit passes our Cross Load testing without any problems. When hit with 60 AMPS the +12V rail held at 11.88. Not a very realistic situation in real life, but a good sign that the design works well.

Additionally, as we would expect in this price point, the SF750 is a fully modular power supply featuring very high Platinum efficiency certification. This is a standard sized SFX chassis too – its not one of the extended length versions we see from time to time from other companies. We take the issue of noise very seriously at KitGuru and this is why we have built a special home brew system as a reference point when we test noise levels of various components. Why do this? Well this means we can eliminate secondary noise pollution in the test room and concentrate on components we are testing. It also brings us slightly closer to industry standards, such as DIN 45635. SF Series power supplies give you 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency, excellent electrical performance, and virtually silent operation in a SFX form factor. With 105°C Japanese capacitors and Zero RPM fan mode, they’re a great choice for high performance small form factor PC’s where reliability and low noise are essential. AN UNPRECEDENTED 750 WATT SFX PSU It is likely if you have this supply in your system and you are doing general work it won't make a noise at all. Under higher load situations, the fan will spin, but until you are close to 80% load, it won't really make its presence known. At full load, the fan is quite noisy but we would expect this – after all it is still only 90mm in diameter.Sep 7th 2023 Thermaltake Reveals Matcha Green Lineup: Ceres 300 TG ARGB Mid Tower Chassis & ARGENT E700 Real Leather Gaming Chair (8) On top of that, the built-in Smart Zero Fan (750 W&850 W: 92 mm; 1000 W: 120 mm) makes absolutely no noise at all when running under 30% load. The Toughpower SFX series features low ripple noise, strict voltage regulation, and extended hold-up time. Firstly, from 0% to 100% load, ripple noise produced from 12 V, 5 V, and 3.3 V are consistently under 30 mV, bringing extensive lifespan and overall superior protection for your system. Secondly, the Toughpower SFX series promises ±2% voltage regulation compared with Intel's standard +5%, -7%, and ±10% for -12 V. Last but not least, the 17 ms hold-up time will prevent your system from rebooting and makes sure the system still runs perfectly even with a brief interruption.

Primary side: Half-Bridge & LLC Resonant Controller Secondary side: Synchronous Rectification & DC-DC converters Load regulation proves to be very good, holding within 2% of the recommended guidelines. Corsair SF750 SFX An Unprecedented 750 Watt SFX PSU: Harness 750 continuous watts in SFX form, perfect for the most power-dense small-form-factor PCs. We are happy to see Corsair have adopted all Japanese capacitors in both primary and secondary stages to offer long term reliability and stable operation under heavy load conditions. The primary bulk capacitor is by Japanese manufacturer Nippon Chemi Con and is rated 105c. Compatible with both the latest Intel SFX 12V 3.42 and ATX 12V 3.0 standard and designed with native PCIe 12+4pin modular interface.

Powerful single +12V rail can properly deliver the power you need for the best compatibility. The use of LLC and DC to DC circuit design provides very stable operation and enhanced voltage regulation. Power Factor Correction (PFC) is used in some equipment to minimise the inductive component of the electrical current. This helps to reduce the losses in the electrical supply to that equipment. Power Factor Correction capacitors are normally used to reduce induction in an electrical load, which minimises wasted energy and hence improves the efficiency of a company and reduces electricity costs. There are a total of eight individually sleeved modular cables in the box and there are plenty of connectors to cater for the majority of enthusiast system builds. We can see that the 750W version also ships with 2 4+4 Pin EPX/ATX12V connectors, a great addition to see. The cables are quite short, intentionally, to ensure system builders are not dealing with very long cables inside a small form factor case. It is worth noting this however if, for some reason you are intend on using this power supply inside a larger chassis. Top-end build quality with low ripple noise. All ripples are lower than 30 mV on +12V, +5V or +3.3V from 0% to 100% load to ensure a stable operation and keep your performance-critical components to function reliably for longer. Next we want to try Cross Loading. This basically means loads which are not balanced. If a PC for instance needs 500W on the +12V outputs but something like 30W via the combined 3.3V and +5V outputs then the voltage regulation can fluctuate badly. Cross Load Testing

We like the box artwork for this power supply, all the key points are listed along the bottom at the front of the box, along with a quality high resolution image in the middle.

The fans audible noise is nearly silence at 100% operation. This creates the perfect balance between silence and superior cooling. Furthermore, with the Smart Zero Fan, the fan will not spin until the load exceeds 30% of the power supply, minimizing the fan noise. Thanks to its super compact SFX size, the Revolt SFX is ideal for small form factor chassis. This PSU boasts a length of only 100mm, freeing up space for cable management and airflow. Both of which are essential in small PC cases. FULLY MODULAR Toughpower SFX series comes with a 16-pin connector to offer powerful and stable performance allowing the PSU to natively run next-generation GPUs.
