Inside my Tall Orchidarium, I’m growing orchids from my National Collection of Miniature Aerangis and Angraecum Species, my National Collection of Miniature Phalaenopsis Species, as well as a few other miniature orchid species, and a couple of ferns. In this article, I’ll show you how my Tall Orchidarium was designed, set up, and installed. Custom build Tall Orchidarium, made by Custom Aquaria For the be-all-and-end-all of scientific studies, two custom built containers were filled with a variety of grasses and ferns native to Britain, then loaded onto a cargo ship to set sail across the high seas to Sydney, Australia – a 6-month sea voyage. A close relative to the Hoya, the often overlooked Dischidia shouldn’t be overlooked for terrariums. They’re originally from Thailand, and they absolutely love hot and humid conditions. The best thing about these accent plants is that you can generally trim them down to tiny cuttings andjust sprinkle them in. The Aluminum plant forms compact clusters of leaves and averages 8-12 inches tall. It loves high humidity, warmth, and lots of indirect sunlight.
