About this deal

The End of Her is a slippery eel of a novel - just when you think you have it in your grasp, it slithers away on a new current. I consumed it in a day, desperate to discover the fate of the evil Erica. Unputdownable." Hanna Bright puts little Teddy in his baby swing on the front porch and sits down to read her novel. It's going to get hot later, but in the morning it's nice here on the porch, out of the sun. She notices two cars parked at the house across the street and a couple of doors down. The house is for sale; someone must be looking to buy.

If you’ve devoured Lapena’s books and are craving more thrilling tales, here are some recommendations that will satisfy your appetite for suspense. Where did that baby go! It’s hard not to read to the end to find out, and the twists waiting there are gratifyingly clever.” As her reality slowly distorts, she has to gather the pieces of her life to find the truth to protect her family. Although the ending was satisfaying I’m a bit skeptical about Stephanie’s actions all of a sudden, as they don’t seem in character with what we’ve been told about her until then. Some secondary plots could have been better resolved and some forensic details were hard to ignore as IRL they would have changed the outcome of the investigation.A new thriller that willgive you serious Agatha Christie vibes . . . if you’re one of the many people who counts [ And Then There Were None] among their favorite books, you will love An Unwanted Guest. . . . Adeftly crafted and expertly paced thriller that will keep readers guessing (and terrified) until the very end.” The move had been announced earlier today (October 30) by ITV News' Ian Axton, who tweeted: "Really delighted that Alex Lovell will be joining ITV Westcountry from January to present our programmes alongside Sabet Choudhury. What a team!" It was hard not to feel like a failure in those early days, struggling with sleeplessness, the pain of the C-section recovery, and the frustration of breastfeeding two babies, seemingly all the time. . . . Those first couple of weeks after the twins were born were the most difficult of Stephanie's life. The babies soon began nursing well, but she often thinks about how stressful the C-section had been-for everyone. We don't always get to choose, she reminds herself. The important thing is that she and the girls were healthy. Now, Stephanie is astonished at how naive she was before the birth. Control is an illusion. The end of her proved to be a fast engrossing read full of 'interesting' characters. I enjoyed this as I kept trying to figure out what would happen in the end and have to say, I was surprised by some events in this book. This was pure escapism reading for me. This was a fun he said/she said that kept me on my toes and entertained. I really enjoyed Lapena's The Unwanted Guest and Someone We know, and she kind of became an auto-buy thriller author for me. I find her books entertaining, and thrilling to read.

A person in the later stages of dementiamay get worse slowly over many months. During this time they will usually: I also wasn’t particularly fond of the ending. It didn’t ring true, and I thought it could have taken a more clever route. The Girl Before by JP Delaney: This gripping psychological thriller explores the lives of two women who occupy the same eerie house, both entangled in a web of secrets and danger. But I digress. It’s still a fun and fast read, and I would recommend it to fans of the author. I’ve now read all of her domestic suspense books, and this is the only one I didn’t rate 5 stars. If you’re new to her work, I would recommend starting elsewhere. With a final handshake, the woman turns away from the agent and heads for her parked car. As she reaches the street, she looks over at Hanna on her porch and stops. Then, to Hanna's surprise, she crosses the street and walks toward her house. What does she want? Hanna wonders.A sleep deprived mother with twins to conquer, a successful husband with a lot of secrets, and the arrival of someone from her husband's past comes to destroy everything in her marriage. Does it sound like a familiar dovetail story....It's not.....????

Shari Lapena has captivated readers worldwide with her gripping and suspenseful novels. With a talent for crafting intricately plotted stories and keeping readers on the edge of their seats, Lapena has become a household name in the thriller genre. However, I abhorred the character of Stephanie, who may be the only one who’s supposed to be likable. She was idiotic and annoying, with bad dialogue...and reminded me of one of my least favorite characters in all the land (Amanda in David Bell’s The Request). They are not the only characters in this book with secrets. There are two other subplots going on as well. Everyone has something to lose...and one hopes to gain! The ending is where this fell a little flat for me. It's not a terrible ending by any means but I just couldn't quite buy how it all played out. The epilogue, however, was terrific. 4 stars! The story is a fast and engrossing read, full of curious characters. It keeps you on the edge mainly due to some unreliable characters and some unique twists that will keep you guessing throughout. What I thought was unique about this book explores humans and fragility of human relationships; how even the smallest suspicion can torment a human mind and destroy relationships. Lapena skillfully creates mysteries out of some real characters and some real-life situations. Throughout the book, you are not sure what the character’s motivations are and what he really intends to do, which keeps the plot unpredictable. The story was fact-paced to keep you engaged and the characters will keep you guessing.

The door opens abruptly and Dr. Prashad smiles at her. Stephanie knows that she's a mother, too, that she understands what it's like, although she doesn't have twins. Elizabeth promoted Robert Cecil as Secretary of State close Secretary of State The senior member of the Privy Council. in 1596 as his father, William Cecil was too crippled to continue the role. Essex had wanted to influence her decision thereby gaining influence over royal patronage close patronage The power to appoint people to important jobs based on a system of duties and rewards.. His failure to do this made him look weak and made him angry with the queen. A great diversion on a hot, summer afternoon...but not one that will make my top 10 list by the end of the year! I tore through it. It kept me on my toes throughout and the ending was just fantastic. Really tense!"

Shari Lapena erupted onto the scene with The Couple Next Door, and with each subsequent book has secured her place as the new queen of domestic suspense, inheriting the mantle from the late Mary Higgins Clark." He gathered his allies such as the Duke of Southampton, another noble close noble Someone of high rank with a title. who was out of favour and heavily in debt. Dementia is a life-limiting condition, but it is very difficult to know how long someone with dementia will live for. This depends on many factors. Proving that time periods may change but people do not, Lapena delivers a solid whodunit with an ending that would make Dame Christie proud.”

Cecil and Essex each began to build up rival factions at court. This was something Elizabeth had sought to avoid for most of her reign. Lapena has written a great whodunit, with a delicious Christie-like vibe. Fans of the author's first novel will want this, and anyone who savors a well-crafted murder mystery will gobble it up!” Argghhhk! I ate my couch cushions, spitting out feathers from my mouth! What a tense, wtf I’m reading but I cannot stop, will not stop because I’m obsessed with the fast pacing, heart pounding, stomach churning novel!
