About this deal

Hidden in the menus of Disc 3 — press LEFT on your remote when highlighting “Rebuilding the Enterprise-D” on the features menu and a playing card will appear — showrunner and finale director Terry Matalas presents six minutes of improv and laughter as the Next Gen cast take an afternoon to play cards one last time as a united crew. FINAL THOUGHTS

Star Trek: Picard - The Final Season Sets Course for Blu-ray

Allied Vaughn has set Ben Steinbauer and Berndt Mader’s comedy documentary Chop & Steele for Blu-ray and DVD on 7/18. October 31, 2023 | See The Enterprise In A Space Race From Hell In Preview Of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The Scorpius Run’ #3

As mentioned, there are over seven hours of special features included that range from deleted scenes to featurettes and gag reels. Season 3 also includes audio commentary for five of the episodes, including the series finale “The Last Generation.” This is really fun and insightful, with Jonathan Frakes also appearing alongside other creatives. The featurettes and deleted scenes for the final season are particularly touching since it’s so great to see the whole crew reunited for one more Star Trek installment. Star Trek: Picard – The Complete Series Review: The Final Verdict The Making of “The Last Generation” (42 minutes) – As they’ve done with the other Paramount+ Trek seasons, this feature documents the making of the final season. Writers, producers, directors, and cast are interviewed. Deanna jumps into the conn seat, and Geordi says that Deanna has flown the Enterprise “exactly twice, and you crashed it both times.” Deanna retorts “Yeah well, third time’s the charm.” As Data surrenders his memories to Lore in their cyber realm, he hands Lore his painting of a raven (from TNG “Birthright”)

Personally i would of preferred if they kept the changelings as the main villain for the last 2 episodes instead of sidelining them to make room for the Borg (Who i am so done with and hope to never see again except for Borg Jurati’s faction as i would like to see her again) and then ridiculously dealing with the remaining changelings via some lines and a small scene. Unlike in previous seasons, quite a few of the deleted scenes included on this release are extremely relevant and would have added to an already strong season — forcing you to wonder in some cases why they weren’t included in the final episode edits. Worf (Michael Dorn) describes his recent past to Riker (Jonathan Frakes). (Paramount Home Entertainment) First, Paramount has revealed new 4K Ultra HD Steelbook editions of the Mission: Impossible films today. Look for Mission: Impossible and Mission: Impossible 2 on 6/27, followed by Mission: Impossible 3 and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol on 7/4, and finally Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout on 7/11. You can see the Steelbook artwork for each below the break.

Thanks for the review i am looking forward to adding this to my ever growing Trek collection and for me S3 was good but the story-line i felt was not all that great. Picard – The Final Season Q&A: A 43-minute FYC panel with the showrunners and cast members in which they discuss the direction of the story of season three, how the cast felt to return to these roles, working with family members on the series, the legacy they leave behind and more. Villainous Vadic: A 21-minute piece which takes a look at the scenery-chewing performance of Amanda Plummer and the gravitas she brings to this instantly iconic villain. While trying to figure out how to activate Daystrom Android M510, Riker asks Worf about what happened to him, since he’s such a changed person. Worf says he has hunted Changelings for decades. He hunted Changelings ruthlessly until one day he killed a woman, who he thought was a Changeling, but he was wrong. To make up for his transgression, he swore to temper himself. It’s not surprising that the most successful Picard season also has the greatest home media release of the series, and for anyone who has even a passing interest in what went into bringing this miracle of a year to life, Star Trek: Picard – Season 3 is a must-have… especially in these days where content can just vanish off of subscription streaming services. Onward to the generation after next. (Paramount Home Entertainment) The Gang’s All Here (19:06) – As you’d expect, this glossy interview piece gives each member of the returning Next Gen cast a few moments in the spotlight. I loved the reappearance of the old-school look of the ship at warp, with the streaking rays of light. The new warp effect that’s been used since Discovery looks too much like a Star Wars Hyperspace tunnel mixed with bad lightning effects from a Power Rangers episode.During Vadic’s monologue about the Starfleet genocide of the Changelings, Seven and Shaw listen in from the bridge. Seven (having been in the Delta Quadrant during the Dominion War) asks what she’s talking about, Shaw gives the cliff notes of what happened on DS9 with the Section 31 virus. Fans have been receiving their Star Trek: Picard – The Final Season disc sets and noticing that one of the visual effects shots is different than they remembered seeing on Paramount+. This has been the cause of some discussion and speculation but we have the real story. Different Flybys Contrary to fan concerns that this was some kind of “temporary” visual effect, sources tell TrekMovie that both shots are legitimate final visual effects. The production team swapped out the flyby shot late in the process, close to the final delivery of the episode for streaming on Paramount+ (but not for streaming on Prime, sometime after the episode’s release it was updated to match the Paramount+ version). So in a sense both of these versions are correct. We’re not sure why Paramount Home Entertainment used the international version of this episode on the disc sets. The final season of Star Trek: Picard will be headed to home media this fall, as the last year of Admiral Picard’s adventure has been slated for a September release.
