It'll help Ryan show the team's general manager that he actually has a work/life balance and isn't a recluse, and it'll mean Indy has a date to her friend's wedding where her ex will be at. Ryan Shay- I won't say he was a perfect book boyfriend but he was good enough to keep me interested. I loved how he took care of Indy, and noticed her little quirks. The fact he learned sign language cause of Indy and her parents was really sweet. Loved how he talked about her books obsession with her and always heard her out. I liked how open he was about vulnerabilities.I’m also in love how she’s building up this world of different characters and introducing them without it being too much or too confusing!!

Because I’m a romantic, I can’t help but hold out hope against all odds that he’ll turn out to be someone else, but then I start to question whether or not it was a good idea to move in with my best friend’s brother in the first place. About Liz Tomforde I can’t believe Ryan Shay isn’t real how am I supposed to just move on with my life after falling in love with this man? I will defend him until the day I die because he has never done anything wrong in his life. I loved Kai! I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out!! I just know Kai's story will be as amazingly perfect as Zee and Stevie's snd Ryan and Indy's. And Rio!!! So excited to read his book too! I just love him so much!!! this book really called me single in every language, even languages that are extinct. the soulmatism was astounding here. the way the love between Indy and Ryan was portrayed was so subtle and beautiful, really emphasising the theme of the soft, quiet, tender type being just as vital as the “loud”, in your face kind of love. love thrives on respect, small acts of kindness, listening, genuinely caring... and showing that to your partner every day in every way you can.Indy on the other hand was so ✨charming✨ she was so charismatic, so emotional, so soft, so smart, so fierce, so romantic, so loyal, and so relatable. She reads romance to escape reality and romanticize everything. I love her so freakin much!!!

Liz Tomforde definitely does not disappoint!! The banter is just so perfect and funny. Ryan and Indy complement each other so well and I couldn't get enough of them!!! I love Indy and Stevie's friendship so much! And I love that she was promoted and able to modify the no-fraternization clause so she could remain friends with Zee and the others. I loved Stevie and Zee's appearances in this book so much. And even though there were many tropes, you can see that the plot wasn’t only purely based around them! There was so much more to it than you might expect from a sports romance book. Dealing with past traumas, infidelity, anxiety and so much more! now as for their relationship and romance itself, i'll just let my annotations speak for me this time (*potential spoilers and nfsw content you've been warned*) when i tell you this man is so fine. so scrumdiddlyumptious. one of the best, genuine heroes ive read in such a long time.Ryan Shay is the man we all need. There. I said it. The man can be recluse but inside that stony exterior is a soft marshmallow that just wants to be love for him 🥺 I lost count on how many times I awed or let out a breath (cause why is the room so hot all of a sudden? ) whenever this man did something for Indy—be it being a sweet action or a hot one. This man is a fine example of “if he wants to, he can” and I love him for it. ❤️ Again the found family just does it for me! I loved seeing the friendship Indy had with Rio and Zanders! That was definitely new and it’s adorable asf!
