About this deal

Neutralize+ is just 1 more damage but an extra turn of weak. However, we're not desperately in need of that second turn of weak because of WLP. Tear off the wallpaper in the center of the room. Move to 1972 and open the curtains on the window. Take the can of wallpaper glue. Turn on the floor lamp and take the key out of it. Using this key, open the left door and go outside. After dealing poison damage, the count will be reduced by one, and the enemy will be hit for this new amount the following turn. Poison can add up in a hurry, and can cause massive damage, with a small investment, if you can find multiple copies of cards like Catalyst. In the future, use the turpentine syringe and then the lighter on the rubble. [Where There's Smoke]

There are two keys to beating Time Eater. First, don't screw yourself over by leaving the counter on 10 or 11 at the end of a turn. If you can only play one or two cards in a turn, it is very likely that you are unable to prevent a big swing. The ideal is pacing yourself so that the counter hits 12 precisely when you are done with a turn. A pace of three four-card turns is probably the easiest to hit, but you might want to go for four three-card turns or two six-card turns. It's just a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. The second option, "Obtain a random common Relic", is also a guaranteed positive bonus. It has pretty decent value. The Relics are for people with money. This is why you should graduate from college and get a real job.

Catalyst+ could be nice, but we only have one source of poison so getting to a Catalyst+ before we get that poison down would be worthless. For me, the children’s book is the star of the two. Written in comic book style, it uses very child-friendly language (my seven-year-old could read it with ease) and is clearly designed to be used over time rather than devoured in one sitting.

Smiling Mask - The merchant's card removal service now always costs 50 gold - Quite a useful relic if you get it early on and can hit up a bunch of shops. It usually ends up paying for itself if you get it in the first half of your run, so it's usually a good buy, but there may be better options available. For boss relics, it’s always nice to get extra energy, but there aren’t any boss relics that specifically stand out for our build. If you still have Ring of the Snake, you can upgrade to Ring of the Serpent, which allows you to draw one card at the start of each turn. Move to 2012, go to the closet on the right and read ALL notes in this closet to get an achievement "Dear Diary". Upgrading After Image doesn't seem too good - it's not even clear it's good to upgrade it, if you have other similar powers.Pear - Raise your Max HP by 10 - Pretty basic relic, not really worth buying unless it's the last shop and there's nothing else to buy.
