About this deal

Here at What Gadget, we have been reviewing a number of Edifier products from their TWS buds to overhead headphones and even their offering to the gaming headphone market. So when I was asked to review the S200MKIII bookshelf speakers it really did spike my interest. My only negative when it comes to the design is the weight and also the size they are very deep speakers at 342mm so if you’re going to buy these consider where you will put them first. Features S3000PRO, Remote Control, Batteries, Power Chord, USB Cable, Optical Cable, 3.5mm>RCA Cable, RCA Cable, User Manual The Edifier S2000MKIII’s are quite hefty and take up quite a bit of space. But, if you can accommodate their size you’ll be pleasantly surprised by just how good these are. How good? Read on to find out! Hi-Res HIGH RESOLUTION DIGITAL AUDIO: Thanks to the high-quality unit and with a digital audio resolution of up to 24-bit/192kHz, it completely exceeds the Hi-Res test criteria, presenting richer music details.

Overall, these sound really, really good. They’re loud enough to fill a large sized bedroom, home office or living room easily with no degradation at higher volumes. Build Quality What arrived was a massive box and I have to say very heavy which did provide me with some concern especially getting it upstairs. When I got these out of the box the speakers are very large and very heavy. You will notice them for sure and also something to consider they need to be on the same level as each other in regards to the cable connection and sound projection. Analogue and digital connections give the Edifier plenty of versatility in terms of what can be hooked up. There’s 2 x line input, optical and coaxial input to go with the aforementioned Bluetooth 5.0, opening the speakers up for connection to a TV, Blu-ray player, game console, CD player or set-top box etc. All the connections and dials are at the rear of the right speaker. The only connections connected to the left speaker is that of a cable that plugs into the right speaker and a rear bass port for better bass output. Because of the rear bass port on both the left and right speakers, it is recommended that your keep these speakers close to the wall for better output. Bass could arguably have more depth – a Tidal Master play of Ludwig Göransson’s TENET exhibited tight and cleanly delivered bass, but it did feel reined in.Anche qua è interessante perché DSD LP rip suonano molto più caldi e corposi, fin troppo, mentre registrazioni da studio sono molto più precise e fedeli. Ma quello va a gusto. As you’ll notice, there’s no HDMI port – so make sure your TV has an Optical port if you plan to connect it to the speakers. No HDMI also means no ARC – so you can’t have your TV’s remote turn the speakers on and off along with the TV. Having just watched Doctor Who: Flux, he started with Raleigh Ritchie‘s Werld Is Mine. “The speakers sound great with this drum n bass production. The bass is beefy to the point where you might wanna dial it down a notch. The speaker also has Bluetooth functionality, it is the 5.0 Qualcomm aptX HD Bluetooth connectivity which is very reliable. The advantage of this is that it eliminates the need for connecting cables and unnecessary wires apart from the power cable. Another awesome feature is the Hi-Res audio support functionality of the speakers. Na vytvorenie takéhoto pokročilého zariadenia použili inžinieri komponenty, ktoré sa používajú v zariadeniach určených pre audiofilov. Vďaka tomu získate mimoriadne kvalitný zvuk bez ohľadu na nastavenú úroveň hlasitosti.

Its neutrality serves it well as an alternative to a soundbar. There’s plenty of detail and balance: the soundstage is wider and fuller and the bass is better than what you’d get from a flatscreen TV with intelligible dialogue too. It gives a TV’s sound more weight and directs it into the room, but these are big speakers and they’d need a speaker stand if you’re going to sit them either side of a 50-inch+ TV. You should buy the Edifier S2000MKIII Active speakers if… There are no advanced audio codecs here – no Dolby Surround, Dolby Atmos or Dolby-Anything, so you’ll have to send uncompressed PCM sound from your TV or streaming device. They are big and will need a degree of space to operate, . But if you are looking at something more towards the audiophile scale, these are highly recommended. As is, I can not recommend the Edifier S2000 Pro. It is just too imperfect. If you have it though, equalization helps a lot to turn it into a good sounding speaker at a great price. The power cable is built into the speaker, and you can’t disconnect it or replace it – so you need to be extra careful not to damage it.
