About this deal

You know, the new Fengmi V10 projector looks very good, especially for the price of 6799 yuan in China. This is about 1000 US dollars. Formovie V10 carries an MT9669 chipset, which is widely applied in high-end TVs. It also has a built-in large memory of 4G RAM and 64G ROM. The large memory ensures smooth operation and enables you to install more apps. As I already said, Fengmi V10 looks very unusual. First, it is available in a single color called Sunset gold. It looks like the top panel is made of wood, but most likely it is plastic imitation wood. Moving onto the input lag claims, 12ms is extremely fast and would put the Formovie V10 near the very top of the gaming projector market. But unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t replicate that 12ms number. I used the industry standard Leo Bodnar lag tester in every different resolution and refresh rate combination I could think of. I put the V10 into its specific gaming mode, I turned off every advanced picture setting, and even tried different HDMI versions, ports, and cables, but the fastest input lag measurements I could get were 34.7ms at 4K60 and 34.9ms at 1080p60. 1080p 120Hz where most gaming projectors have their lowest input lag was much worse at 51ms. Don’t get me wrong, 34.7ms is not bad at all, and would be more than acceptable for most games, but it’s still almost 3 times more than the 12ms claimed by Formovie and is the most disappointing thing about the V10.

The LX-NZ30 is a 1080p DLP design that uses four-way e-shift to achieve 4K on screen resolution. According to JVC, it “supports up to 1080P/240Hz input with latency as low as 6.25ms.” Along with its HDMI connections it features a DisplayPort 1.2a input for direct connection to a PC. The LX-NZ30 has a laser light source with dynamic dimming for improved contrast, and it offers flexible setup options including horizontal and vertical lens shift and a 1.6x optical zoom. Formovie V10 supports at most 140HZ refresh rate and a low input lag of 12ms, which is a good option for playing games. Audio As for image size, Formovie V10 can project at most 120 inches, and you can adjust the image size based on the screen or throw distance. System Being a camera company, you’d expect that Leica would get involved in the lens design for the projector and that’s exactly what happened. I gotta say, the image being projected in the company’s booth did look perfectly crisp. Leica Image Optimization (LIO) processing is also onboard to improve image quality, and there’s that beautiful perforated aluminum with red dot casing that echoes the elegant design of the company’s cameras.

Test / Review conclusion

The native resolution of the new projector is 4K. There are 8.3 mega individual pixels, which is 4 times more than Full HD projectors have. So, there is no point in comparison of 4K and 1080P projectors.

So next let’s look at the picture quality, resolution and refresh rate claims. Like 99% of 4K projectors on the market, the Formovie V10 uses a 1080p DLP chip with pixel shifting to create a 4K image by rapidly drawing 4 subpixels for each frame of video. That means that if you are watching content at 4K 60Hz each small mirror on the DLP chip needs to draw 240 pixels per second to generate the image, which I guess you could technically call 240Hz.

By the way, I forgot to tell you about MT9669 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory in the new projector. There is also FENGMI operating system, so you can watch YouTube, Netflix, or install any other Android apps. Price and Buy This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. Looking from the top, we can see a panel with a wood grain style, echoing the design of the projector body. There are four virtual buttons on the top panel and they will light up when the projector is turned on. You can wake up the Music Mode by gently touching the corresponding button.
