About this deal

This is not about passing the problem to them, but helping to ensure they are armed with the facts and thus in a stronger position to urge that changes are made to protect their future," Juniper said. And what could be better than storytime with Michael Morpurgo! The Boy Who Would be King is a beautiful full-colour tribute to King Charles III, read here by the author himself. A Ladybird Book: Climate Change" includes an Afterword in which The Prince Charles, the former Prince of Wales sets out a personal message to readers. (The Afterword was written last year, when His Majesty The King was still The Prince of Wales.) Over the weekend, Coronation Big Lunches took place in streets and community spaces across the country and the Commonwealth. On Sunday 7 May Windsor Castle hosted the Coronation Concert, with performances from global music icons and contemporary stars including Take That, Katy Perry, Steve Winwood and Andrea Bocelli.

Illustrated by Sir Hugh Casson, it is a story of an old man who lived in a cave in the cliffs near the corrie loch, Lochnagar-- a mountain that overlooks theroyal family's Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Interestingly, King Charles III had earlier told this story to his younger brothers, Andrew and Edward, in their childhood and he later got it published. This month's Get Creative is getting royally imaginative too, with inventive acrostic poems and story starters to encourage kids to use the coronation to inspire their writing. When the first edition of the Ladybird Expert book on Climate Change was published in 2017, CO2 levels in the atmosphere were 405 parts per million (ppm), now they are 420 ppm. Across the country families, friends, nurseries, schools and community groups joined together to celebrate the Coronation. The Old Man of Lochnagar is a 1980 children's book written by King Charles III, at that time the Prince of Wales, and illustrated by Sir Hugh Casson. [2] The story revolves around an old man who lives in a cave in the cliffs surrounding the corrie loch under the Lochnagar, a mountain which overlooks the royal estate at Balmoral in Scotland where the Royal Family spend much of their summer holidays. [3]

The old man loses his grip while attempting to scale the Lochnagar cliff and falls into the loch, where he meets "lagopus Scoticus," a "freshwater variant of Neptune". The man and lagopus Scoticus converse using bubbles which display their thoughts in written text and go hunting for "Loch-haggis" in a "sea-rover" underwater vehicle. After the hunt, the old man "feast[s] on Loch-haggis and suffer[s] terribly from wind," before going to sleep beside the loch. Ever since I was a young teenager I have been deeply worried about the way we have shaped our world.’‘I am pleased to see that children across the world […] are now raising the alarm and calling for big changes to happen," wrote the former Prince of Wales. "Their efforts have emphasised the importance of caring about what life will be like in the future – there is a lesson in this for us all."
