About this deal

Lansinoh, the makers of your favourite nipple cream, also produce superbly designed single and double electric breast pumps. Both versions are quiet, powerful, inexpensive and ergonomically designed to fit the female body. The breast shields come in two sizes to fit comfortably and have soft rubber padding around the edge, making the experience of pumping more pleasant on delicate bodies. Brands like Elvie have reimagined the electric breast pump as a sleek, silent and wearable breast pump that slips into a nursing bra, so women can express milk anywhere that they need to or feed baby while expressing. Perfect for expressing at home & on the move with a small rechargeable li-ion battery that lasts up to 3 hours, this is the double pump of dreams that's not only super quiet vs. other pumps but is really comfy too with soft-silicone shields. This double pump encourages milk let down & mimics baby’s feeding action by drawing from the breast (yay!) instead of squeezing the nipple (ouch ouch ouch!). It's like the VIP of Breast Pumps giving you more milk in less time.

Jennifer: This has been my favourite breast pump so far and I have used a few. When I received it, it was really easy to assemble and really straight forward to use. I can pump around 6oz in the 30 minute timer where I could only pump around 2oz in other pumps I have used. It has made expressing very easy and also very comfortable as you can find the right suction which works for you. It's pricey, but the set includes: four 150ml breast milk bottles with Calma solitaire, two bottle stands, two breast shields, a rechargeable battery, a cooler bag and cooling element and four disposable nursing pads. Tracy: The only change I would like is if the manufacture could provide a little storage bag with the product to make transportation a little easier. Overall, I was very impressed with this product and I found that my bottle fussy little one took her feed from this bottle very well too! I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends. Rachel Cowell: The only thing I would change about the pump would be for the silicone horn to be a little bit bigger as it's quite small compared to other breast pumps I have used so I don't think it will suit everyone. It might not be in everyone's price range but in my opinion it is worth every penny!

An electric breast pump allows you to personalise the expressing experience, adjusting the speed and flow level at which you want to express. Typically, these pumps are both mains operated and battery powered. Probably the most established brand for breastfeeding mothers, Medela’s iconic Swing design has remained unchanged since it was first launched in the 1960s. It’s a design classic that’s also brilliantly functional. We love the relatively simple and portable design that’s easy to put together and start using immediately. (You might also find this particularly refreshing if you don’t like anything too techy). The handle is comfy and easy to use and shouldn’t leave your hand aching after a few pumps like some manual ones do.The pump is easy to use – there are no small parts to fiddle around with, which is brilliant, as it's always a bit daunting putting little pieces of your breast pump in the dishwasher or trying to hand wash every nook and cranny of a tiny valve. Our tester found the assembly simple and the instruction manual easy to speed read. A double, extra high-tech Breast Pump for expressing up to 9 levels from both boobs at the same time!

Medela's Freestyle breast pump is another popular choice, and Philips' single breast pumps are also extremely well-rated. Is a hand pump better than an electric? The Natural Touch Digital Breast Pump has been an absolute godsend, allowing me to go out with mum friends in town and I even went into London on my own a few nights ago! It has done me the world of good and helped me to feel me again. Rachel Carpenter: This breast pump is really efficient at pumping milk. I've found it far more comfortable to use than the hand pump and it's particularly good as it's small and portable. I'll definitely be taking this away on holiday with me and won't be worrying about it taking up space in my bag. I've found I can do other things at the same time as pumping as I'm able to walk round using the product which I wouldn't have expected to be able to. I have to say I'm very impressed! Tracy: I love the fact that the display unit is a rechargeable mobile unit and I don't have to pay out for extra batteries. I found the display panel very user friendly, even when battling sleep deprivation! Also the controls were very easy to adjust the suction for efficient, comfortable pumping. I liked the minutes display on the panel too, as I knew how long I had been pumping and how much longer I had left to go.

Our favourite Elvie alternative is technically still an Elvie product, but if you can’t afford the battery-powered model, try the Elvie Curve instead. It’s the latest breastfeeding product from the brand and launched alongside the Elvie Catch. Neither comes with the bells and whistles of the classic model, but they also don’t come with the high price tag.

Although a newcomer to the field, femtech startup Elvie has really shaken up the market with its electric breast pump, which is not only silent but also offers women the ability to pump discreetly while on the move, doing something else or out and about (yes, that includes during a meeting). The pump has two settings – stimulation and expression. The first gives a tingling sensation and stimulates milk production. Once milk starts to flow you can switch to expression mode and keep going until you have enough. I always express after Wills has finished feeding so it doesn’t take much to stimulate before the milk flows steadily.I love that you express straight into the bottles, I was managing 4-5 oz in 15-20 minutes (one breast) and this was when my baby was only a few weeks old, so if I had carried on (I only managed to breast feed for 4 weeks as my baby just wouldn't latch, and I was not established enough to solely express, plus only one breast was producing milk, so was forced to stop) i'm sure I could have got much more.
