About this deal

With the pressure on, Abby and her cute rescue huskie, Raffle, must pull something special out of the bag. In Cornwall, it was traditionally served with a ‘Cornish Split’, a sweet white bread roll instead of a scone. We are reunited with some of much-loved characters from previous books, Meredith and Finn are weaved in around the storyline and it is great to see how well they are doing. And we also offer you a variety of flavours, not just the traditional Cornish cream tea, which is exquisite🥰.

holiday From Cornwall with Love: escapist and romantic holiday

I love venturing back to Cornwall, whether to Portgalow or Port Karadow, I know I'm going to have the best time EVER and catch up with old friends and make some new. This was my first time reading this series and the fact that it is number 6 didnt matter it reads well as a standalone. Served on sweet wooden boards, you’ll get a fluffy scone, jam and cream, and if the sun is shining there’s a selection of tables outside, where dogs can join in on the celebrations too. Falmouth’s botanical garden awaits… Trebah Garden, is as good as it sounds, for the bottom of the garden leads y. Ben has previously had his heart broken so he’s not looking for love and has built a wall around him.She was stubborn and wasn’t going to admit to Esme that she would rather curl up with a book for the day.

It was lovely seeing her interactions with characters from the previous book though and it was nice for me to catch up with them too. This waterside beauty is making itself at home on both our list of the best beach cafés in Newquay and the best cream teas in Cornwall because of, well, the cream teas! She started off apologising and not having much confidence but by the end, she was a confident, independent woman. The glorious coastal descriptions had me from page one and didn’t relinquish their grip until the final page. Charlie thinks it will be the perfect mobile café for afternoon tea, so she heads to the picturesque Cornish village of Porthgolow, hoping for a new start. The Cornish Cream Tea (pictured here at Artist's Light) is a tradition that has flourished since it was first introduced and made popular during the tourist boom which began in the 1850’s due to the opening of the railway. The adventures Ben and Thea took were wonderful and of course food and cream teas have to be mentioned and again this fitted in perfectly with everything. Sylvia lives there alone and it is in desperate need of repair and is being handed back to the council.

Bring along the whole family (dog included) for a woodland walk followed by Cornwall’s favourite sweet treat – geddon! Sure, he may seem distant the first team we meet him, but beneath that stand-offish exterior is a kind and generous man (and a six-pack to boot). You’ll get a pot of loose leaf tea or coffee of your choice, and there’s even a vegan option with whipped oat cream instead of clotted. Thea is not about to miss out on the holiday she had been looking forward to, so she decides to pack her bags and holiday solo.

Who doesn’t love a cheeky stroll around a garden centre before stopping off at the café for a coffee and a cake? The clotted cream is an essential part of a cream tea, made by heating unpasteurised cow’s milk and leaving in a shallow pan for many hours which causes the cream to come to the surface and ‘clot’. Thea Rushwood was looking forward to exploring the beautiful Cornish tourist spot of Port Karadow, but when her friend drops out at the last minute, she is forced to go solo. You can also pick up some equally fuelling light lunches and Cornish pasties to help power your picturesque Cornish cycle ride. So we have Thea who has come away on holiday, but also has her mind on her future and making her dreams come true.

However, Daniel Harper, the owner of the posh spa up on the hill isn’t very pleased that her bus is parked outside his lovely hotel. Since then, visitors have come to South West England to relax and indulge in the local tearooms and cafes and enjoy this delicious afternoon treat. Fresh out the oven scones paired with local jam and Cornish clotted cream – you just can’t beat a cream tea at Miss V’s.She is staying next door to builder Ben, who is renovating his own home and clearly running from something himself. Her time at school had given Thea a mistrust of people that she couldn’t banish but books and her job give her a confidence that was otherwise absent in other areas of her life. When I think of Thea's first day on holiday, to how she develops over the course of her stay, I can't help but feel proud of her!
