About this deal

Separated by nearly a century, the characters’ storylines and dialogue are captivating and hold our interest. Alongside the Seven Sisters series, she wrote novels such as Hothouse Flower (2010, also titled The Orchid House), The Girl on the Cliff (2011), The Midnight Rose (2013), The Angel Tree (2014) and The Butterfly Room (2019). Without a doubt, this series is going down as one of my favorites … I fall more in love not only with the D’Apliese family, but also with Lucinda’s writing.

I heard Ma’s comforting voice in my head and remembered her telling me that when I fell out of a tree at Atlantis and sprained my ankle. I forced my thoughts back to Pa Salt, because given my ingrained fear of flying, thinking about the moment I heard he’d died was – in a weird way – comforting. The Pearl Sister is the fourth book in the number one international bestselling Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley. It’s been ages since I went there last, but I hear it’s huge now – maybe a couple of thousand people.Sunday Express Every corner of the world has become a thrilling new adventure with master storyteller Lucinda Riley . The first four books, The Seven Sisters, The Storm Sister, The Shadow Sister and The Pearl Sister have all been No. Told through a breath-taking panorama of captivating stories, their fates and fortunes are painted on a broad canvas and all created from a vast sweep of the imagination.

The two begin a songwriting partnership that grows into something more once Sydney dumps Hunter and decides to crash with Ridge and his two roommates while she gets back on her feet. This is truly immersive fiction, and the settings in Thailand and Australia were sometimes idyllic, sometimes wild and absolutely an escape. Independent Maggie never complains about Ridge’s friendship with Sydney, and it's hard to even want Ridge to leave Maggie when she reveals her devastating secret. Peterson’s eight original songs flesh out Sydney’s lyrics with a good mix of moody musical styles: “Living a Lie” has the drama of a Coldplay piano ballad, while the chorus of “Maybe Someday” marches to the rhythm of the Lumineers.Lucinda Riley, whose worldwide sales were 33m, turned to writing from acting after being bedridden with glandular fever. The very best parts of this story though come from CeCe connecting with her family, that coming home and knowing that she was exactly where she needed to be for everything in her life to fall into place. After getting off the boat just past the Oriental Hotel, I walked up the street beside it and remembered how I’d once treated Star to high tea in the famous Authors’ Lounge. When Lucinda was five, her father was transferred to Courtaulds in Derby, so the family left Northern Ireland to live in Leicester. She made another brief screen appearance, as Emma, alongside Sheila Hancock, in a 1989 adaptation of Mary Wesley’s novel Jumping the Queue, before she was flown to Hollywood to screen-test for a role in the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
