Australian umbrella tree ( Schefflera actinophylla): The Australian umbrella tree looks confusingly similar to dwarf umbrella trees. It can grow up to 2 m tall indoors, in nature it grows into trees 10 – 15 m tall. It is also called Queensland umbrella tree or octopus tree. S. actinophylla tends to have more all green varieties and even when there is variegation it's slight and subtle. Whereas S. arboricola is the name you want to be searching for if you want variegation. This plant belongs to the Schefflera genus that contains about 600-900 species of flowering trees, lianas, or shrubs. Some species are highly popular as ornamental houseplants, such as S.
